I wonder if Grant was ticked off that Gabbie had gone out with someone else . Maybe he got jealous ,then gave mom the idea that she should go to her job (while it was dark and neighbors would be asleep) so she would have time with Gabbie . He probably knew exactly what to say to get her to leave that morning .

BBM

I hope people will cut the mom some slack and also, I hope the mom doesn't beat herself up for not being there. This guy appears to have sociopathic characteristics and sociopaths are known for their ability to manipulate and deceive. JMO, IMO

Highlights from the presser:

Gabbiee has not been found. LE is using local and federal resources to coordinate a ground and air search.

LE released a picture of the type of PJ's Gabbiee is thought to have on when she was abducted and asks if anyone spots them to call LE.

LE asks that anyone who saw Grant's car from Fri night to Sat am to call LE.

LE believes that due to the time frame they have constructed that Gabbiee is close byl

Grant is now a person of interest in three cases: Gabbiee, Adriana Laster, and Daniel Lee Wood who was shot and killed in 2011

LE is operating on the assumption that Gabbiee is alive until they have evidence otherwise.

She has been gone too long to be okay, unless he had an accomplice, which does not seem likely...

I agree... specially if we consider the other 2 missing/murdered women :(

The coverage on this case has been above average IMO, not like some cases where you get scraps with allot of incorrect information.

Our Sheriff is one of the best. He usually keeps the public informed, within reason.

I agree, Chiquita!

I believe one of the others they are referring to is a man...

However.. it is quite likely there other female victims of this monster we don't even know about yet... and maybe never will!:what:

I have been waiting and waiting for lunch break today to post on this case. I bit the bullet and watched NG's coverage of this case last night. I even tried to call in, to no avail, because I felt so irritated with all the speculation NG was doing about how with no breaking and entering Grant must have had a spare key or known where the spare key was located. I wanted to point out that is not true.

Grant was at the home on Friday afternoon assisting with yard work. He was considered a family friend by the mother and had assisted her with handyman type jobs in the past. Grant has been a visitor to and in this home prior to that weekend and on that very day prior to Gabbiee's disappearance. No key would be needed.

It would be a simple matter for him, while there mowing, to go inside the home, visit or speak with Gabbiee's mother, get a drink, use the bathroom - whatever. And while there, unlock a window or otherwise set the scene for a return visit and ease of entry to the home in the wee hours, particularly if he was aware that Gabbiee's mom intended to get some work done during that time.

Gabbiee's mom is a good, involved parent who worked her tail off trying to further her daughter's future and keep her on track. I have NO doubt that if she knew this man's history she would NEVER have allowed him access to their lives. My heart breaks for her knowing the guilt she must be living with as this nightmare continues to unfold. I have nothing but prayers and the deepest of sympathies that she is going through this.

So sad she hasn't been found yet. Apologies if this is a repeat but I hadn't seen it posted yet. There are some interesting details I don't recall hearing/reading before.

A few snippets, BBM with my comments below each one.

When she went upstairs to her daughter’s bedroom, Gabrielle was missing and the alarm clock, which had gone off at 5:25 a.m., was still ringing.
So Mom left for work at 3:30 and Gabbiee had to have been taken before 5:25 a.m. What a small window of opportunity. I knew it was before her Mom got back at 7:30 but didn't realize it was an even shorter time frame than that. I wonder if he knew what time Gabbiee normally gets up and planned it out so he knew exactly when to "suggest" that her Mom leave for work. I haven't seen any confirmation that he was the one to suggest her going in so early but it was suggested as a possibility and seems likely IMO.

Also does anyone know what Gabbiee's Mom does for work and how close it is to their home? I'm not sleuthing her, just curious because that seems like a short time to be at work, especially if you factor in driving/commute time. Makes me wonder if something prompted her to come home earlier than she originally planned.
Chandra Cleveland-Jennings, a private investigator hired by the Swainson family, said the teen has no history of running away from home.

“Her and her mom are best friends. They are like Frick and Frack,” Cleveland-Jennings told NewsOne in an interview. “Her mom doesn’t even let her walk to her friend’s house alone, which is two blocks away.”
Wow! That's pretty quick to hire a PI isn't it? Good for the family for not wasting any time! I was just surprised to see it so quickly. The part about walking to her friends house darn near made me cry. Her Mom is SO protective of her little girl and still this happens. It's awful.

Last Seen Wearing: Black tank top, with pink and black pajama pants, Adidas sandals and a do-rag that was black and pink.
This doesn't exactly match with what they showed in the presser but it occurred to me, assuming she left the home with clothes on, the picture they showed has to be something similar to what she was wearing, not her exact PJs. It's probably a catalog picture of the closest thing they could find, IMO.

The video on this page is good too. Her Mom seems strong but thinking "how can this be happening?" You can also see Grant 'helping' to search for her at normal speed instead of slow motion, in several spots. If I understood her Mom's interview correctly, Gabbiee was supposed to start school either today or last Thursday. :(

Yes, her mom and LE did everything right once they saw she was gone...but it seems it was probably already too late...:(
