I wonder if the monster is the "handyman" who helped with the remodeling inside the home.

Gabbie's mom is not doing well.

LE says it is hard enough that a child goes missing but then to find out it is someone she knew.

A monster came in that morning.

Lott says 52-year-old Freddie Grant, who is a convicted felon with an extensive criminal record, was arrested Sunday and charged with kidnapping in the case of 15-year-old Gabrielle Swainson. Grant is accused of forcing Swainson from her home and taking her to his home in Elgin. He is being detained at the Lexington County Detention Center.

Lott says there was no forced entry into the home, but he knows that she was not taken willingly from the home. ...
Officers now say they're focusing their search efforts for Gabbiee at a junk yard near Grant's home, with more than 100 officers at that location. Lott say Grant had been at the home hours earlier cutting grass. He says they believe he took the girl shortly after her mother went from work overnight.

Her mother is in my prayers, no one should ever have to go through something like this.
I applaud LE for their quick action in realizing this was not a runaway and jumping right in and finding the sick man who did this.

Handyman.....OMG. It's so scary! I guess background checks have to be done on EVERYONE! Even a guy who mows the lawn!! Mom must have told him she was going to work early in the morning or he was stalking Gabbiee.

'Career criminal' arrested in Gabbiee Swainson missing persons case

COLUMBIA (WACH) - A "career criminal" has been arrested in the Gabbiee Swainson missing persons case, according to Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott.

Lott says 52-year-old Freddie Grant, who is a convicted felon with an extensive criminal record, was arrested Sunday and charged with kidnapping in the case of 15-year-old Gabrielle Swainson. Grant is accused of forcing Swainson from her home and taking her to his home in Elgin. He is being detained at the Lexington County Detention Center. Grant is being "completely uncooperative in finding Gabrielle."

I had such a bad feeling about the so-called handyman, if that is who this is, since Mom said Le talked to him and couldn't go into what they said. And then hearing that there would be a PC today. This is so sad; doesn't sound at all promising for this poor girl.
