Thanks for posting this, MommyPlatt -- I am so glad to see Gabbiee getting some coverage, even though there is not much (and no good) news. It's so sad when days and days go by with no coverage of Gabbiee's case.

Sadly, I don't have any news to post about Gabbiee -- just saw her thread had fallen so far down in the index and wanted to bump her back up.

Are any of you who are somewhat "local" to Gabbiee's case hearing anything at all?

All this time I thought Gabbiee's case was in a good place, suspect caught, just waiting on processing etc. Now I see he hasn't been charged with her murder :banghead:! And she still hasn't been found?! I am so sad! Please bring Gabbiee home lease:! I was just thinking of her, so very sad. Whole life ahead of her. I guess criminals are getting smarter; not only are they killing but they have mastered the art of the disappearance.

As much as I hate to believe it, I think the three strikes laws may play a role. Psychopathic criminals feel no empathy so they will do anything to avoid getting caught on a third felony. What would have been *only* a sexual assault gets bumped up to murder and then they do whatever necessary to keep the body from surfacing so they're not sent to prison. It's a very sad situation we're facing.

I pray that Gabbiee is found soon for her family's sake and so this <censored> never sees the light of day. He never should have been let out of prison to begin with.

I too have seen some negative reactions because of the three strikes. This must be what drives the sexual predators to up the ante and kill. It seems that criminals that probably didn't know much about DNA evidence now know if they hide the body, there isn't too much blood etc., no real crime scene, there won't be much of a case. It is getting scary to see all these people getting away with murder!

Bless her heart. Oh how I wish Gabbiee would return to her mom safely also. I'm just afraid that all evidence is to the contrary at this point.
