I feel the same.....like a rock in my stomach when I read the news. RIP sweet beautiful girl. May her mother find some small peace in being able to lay her baby to rest.

For days last August, police walked every square inch of the tiny town where missing teen Gabrielle Swainson was last known to be.

But the 5-foot-deep hole where her body was found Thursday night was impossible to see.

He buried her so deep cadaver dogs wouldn't have been able to find her? That is chilling. If that is true in this case it's probably true in a lot of other cases as well. It seems like criminals are about five steps ahead of LE nowadays. :no:

Well, I'm so glad that LE were able to use the threat of prison for Grant's daughter to get him to tell where he buried Gabbiee. Hopefully, he will tell where he put Adriana Laster to ease the suffering of her loved ones as well.

I've not really followed this thread for a good while but has he given a reason for murdering her? And what's this about another girl? has he killed someone else?

This has been on the local news so much and it makes me sick every time. I wonder if he put her down an old well and covered it back. Was the FD abandoned?

This case goes to show you that even though an area is searched, it may not have been enough. The nightmare in most long cases... searches often were held where the person turns up much later.

Thank God that she has been found. Poor Gabbie; she was just an innocent little girl. I hope that her mother can find some peace. Her killer may be a monster but at least he gave Gabbie back to her family. RIP Gabbie.

I read that he dug the deep hole himself. He worked as a landscaper and was used to digging. I imagine he did the same with Adriana.

The phone was not found until June 18 so LE did not have the evidence to arrest Dominique Grant earlier in the investigation.

The cell phone used by Gabbiee Swainson the day she disappeared was found behind a Myrtle Beach Piggly Wiggly on June 18 according to the Richland County Sheriff's Office.
