For anyone interested on charges from the car accident, here is a link to the NC court calendar - if you search her name you will see the 4 charges. I'm very surprised she didn't get seriously injured considering one of the tickets was for failure to wear a seat belt.

Well, you know, they want to be fed and cry when they are tired. All those hard to handle things.

I watched that presser...man he sure is heavy with his opinions and with details about her and her life. I feel like that's more than I've ever seen an officer on a presser divulge. It feels a little dangerous in terms of a trial, finding a jury, etc etc etc.

Ok I don’t have kids and I’m not going to lie, the sound of a baby crying makes my uterus want to jump out of my body and straight into traffic. But I’ve dealt with it. It’s like nails on a chalk board to me and stresses me out to no end, but I’ve never thought of hurting a baby. Everyone tells me when it’s my baby it will be different but I don’t think so.

ETA: I have a 19 year old niece, a 14 year old nephew and a new 7 month of niece. All of which I have babysat and had overnights and they are safe, I promise. Lol.

I wonder if the car crash was intentional? High speed, no seatbelt, around the curve... and currently on suicide watch? Maybe she was seeking an out for her current life stresses?

Telling the officers that the baby was in the car seems very attention-seeking and impulsive.

If I read the previous article correctly, she moved in with the gf after dating for only one week?? She seems young, impulsive and overwhelmed/unable to cope well with her current life situation. I hope that little Harlee did not suffer and that the COD was at least quick and painless.

Rest with the angels little one.

Of course they are! It’s obvious you have a wonderful heart!

Seriously? That’s a delemea for her? SMH!!

That was my thought too. To me there would be so internal conflict on this matter. You put the baby first...always. Looks like this is not something they could do before or after her passing. So heartbreaking.

I am not justifying this incident but I remember some times when I just wanted to go to the bathroom alone or take a hot shower with out hearing little knocks on the door...JMO

I'm not really sure what to think about the accident. It does seem like she may have done it on purpose; I've known people who have committed suicide when under less stress. I also wondered if she hit her head hard enough to make her disoriented (her eyes look like she must have hit fairly hard), and she may have really thought at that moment that her baby was in the car. I have no idea what happened to cause Harlee's death, but I can't think of anything that would excuse disposing of her the way she did.

Postpartum has no timeline, depression has no timeline. The world would be a wonderful place if they did.

Oh ABSOLUTELY. I am just saying that an 11 month old is not 'hard to handle'. It may get annoying or tiring. But you can put an 11 month old in their crib or their playpen and go sit on the porch and take a few minutes to yourself, if need be.

Now, an 6 yr old with defiance disorder or similar issues is often hard to handle. But an 11 month old? Nah...

Respectfully, I disagree with 'recently' if I go by what was posted by TH on Breanna's FB page. I don't consider October, 2016 to be 'recent'.

I've yet to see 'proof' that his family has been working to get custody of this precious child.

Is this the word of Breanna? I wonder if this is just poor reporting, or tales Breanna told?

I'm totally lost in this and would really like to see confirmation, other than what's being 'reported', that the father's family was working to get custody.

Call me CONFUSED.

Rest in Peace Sweet Angel, may your death not be in vain.
Can you tell me which of the 4 FB profiles you’re looking at? Tia!

SOUTH CAROLINA AMBER ALERT: Mother of baby found dead in South Carolina facing new charge

Lewis initially blamed injuries and bruising to her face on the phony attack. However, deputies said that she was driving in North Carolina last week and was involved in a crash. She drove too fast around a curve and flipped her car, causing those injuries.

When paramedics arrived, she told them her baby was with her and in the car somewhere.

The paramedics were frantically trying to find the child in the car but Brooks said the child was not in the vehicle at all, but home with a babysitter.
[.....]

A few interesting items in article.
RSBM

The car accident report is interesting. Is it possible she had a concussion or something and that’s why she thought the baby was with her? Something bad is going on with this mom. Not that it excuses what she did to that precious baby, but I hope someone is running tests on her. Maybe drugs?
