I think the stuff about leaving the current situation and wanting to be with Heather is a tall tale that's part of a greater tale. JMO

Is anyone familiar with the Taylor Behl murder? It happened in Richmond, VA right before I moved to the west coast:

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Taylor_Behl

I can't help but be reminded of it here...maybe they met for sex and something went terribly wrong. I keep thinking the date was a ploy as well, to make OM jealous, and it worked.

My other thought is that they were followed by the other POI that isn't OM, and a really terrible confrontation occurred. All just my opinion.

Me too, but I think she was infatuated with hum and would respond to any action on his part, i.e call, text, etc. But I do wonder at the length of time (up until six) if that is when she finally went out to meet him. What on earth was all of the back and forth until then? Was she wanting him to come to her? And he was refusing?

Her father did not know her work schedule for that week.
Purse, phone missing.
Phone records most important.
(This show is all over the place. No kind of order)
No forced entry at apartment
Posted to tumblr that night/morning.
(Nothing we do not know)
Looking at her going to meet or being lured out.

Ugh, they stated purse and phone are still missing? TE initially said that, then aunt gave conflicting info and did not confirm that and then gave a cryptic answer making it seem as as if it was once not found then was found--we've had much discussion about this purse.
And tonight they say purse is still missing??
Okay then.

Pretty sure that is what they said...it was something and phone. This show was really a mess. I could have made a mistake but I thought I heard purse.

Horry County police records are focusing on telephone activity that occurred as late as 6 a.m. Dec. 18 between Heather Elvis’ cell phone and a man with whom she had a relationship history, according to documents obtained by the Carolina Forest Chronicle.

This part of the above article is encouraging:
“The case is difficult for anybody to talk about, but it [the investigation] is very active at the same time,” Kegler said.

I wonder if the possible abusive and violent (from the police report) co-worker that works at the Tilted Kilt was employed and did he work there with Amber Berbiglia before she was murdered in May 3, 2013? Note Heather was hired after Amber (according to Heather's Aunt I believe), but I can't find info. if Amber was employed there when she died so to speak. A co-worker may have been aware of Heather's date and/or that her roommate was out of town. I'm not stuck on this guy, but...it does make me wonder.
I wonder if the possible abusive and violent co-worker in the PR doesn't exist at all (as an ex-bf) and HE just told her parents that the violent co-worker said these things when really she was talking about OM. Thinking she might have a future with OM she didn't want her parents to think poorly of him. In other words although her parents knew his name and he is indeed a real person, he wasn't really the person she was talking about because she wanted to keep her parents in the dark about the situation (married) surrounding her and her bf.

Just thought I would throw that out there, IMO of course

Would it be getting light by six? Not where I live, but wondered if she was waiting for a "safer" time to go,out?

Is Heather's family well-known in the community? I believe I read that her father owned a store...would that mean that most locals would know them, or is MB too big for that? I don't think this has to do with what happened to Heather; I am just curious.

I wouldn't rule out HE as the aggressor in the relationship with
OM. When I was in my early 20's I got involved with an early 40s man (successful and attractive).
His success and the naughty factor of the whole thing was appealing. Made me feel young, hot and took me out places no one my age could afford.
It gave me a rush and made me want more.
Additionally it made me feel like a
Rebel and I loved it. Maybe she did text OM while on the date, maybe to impress him or make him jealous. Maybe he drove a
Stick shift.
Maybe the wife read the texts.
From there the imagination rubs wild :(

Now I am understanding things a little better...The older man could have been jealous of Heathers date.....
He could have been jealous, or as a previous poster suggested, could have received a copy of the photo she sent her dad of her driving the stick shift.
To carry my previous thought forward, maybe his wife saw that he received the photo (perhaps OM was asleep at the time), and answered for OM by texting HE pretending to be OM.

Their family printing business is located in Market Common and the response to the fundraiser is very impressive. Even if you don't know them personally the community has embraced them and the pain they are dealing with.

Curious about her supposedly working two jobs? On the TK page, they say she last worked on the Sunday not due again until Friday. Sounds more like she just worked one PT job at the time, IMO.

Sure, make me go back to the first four threads, see if I care.....

Here is the bit about dogs on the water:

"They have had people and teams of canines on the water."

http://www.wistv.com/story/24273295/horry-county-police-investigating-missing-woman

Here is where they searched with dogs on foot in the Socastee area:
"The Center for Missing Persons or CUE has had volunteers searching the water near Peachtree Landing since Elvis was reported missing and extended the ground search on foot with canines in the Socastee area over the weekend."
http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/2013/12/30/3930882/search-for-missing-women-in-myrtle.html

I'm still looking for the one about the car. So many of these articles have changed and since we cannot copy the whole article, things get lost....I will update if I never find it after searching through the first five threads. I know it wasn't after that.

Just because they didn't pick up her scent, doesn't mean that she didn't drive her car there. I think that is what started this conversation....but now I can't really remember. If she got in another car it would go dead. If she went in the water dead. The would have have had to bring scent dogs, and it doesn't sound like those were either. Those sound like search dog.

Yes. I would agree....IMO

I believe there will be more to come out in the next couple days...This older guy knows more then he is saying...

She was described by a friend on JVM as a "spitfire" FWIW.

Her twitter when she seems to have met married guy show she was highly...interested from the start, I would say. JMO

This is an interesting take on it. So you're thinking she was "explaining" away the violent/stalkerish OMW as a bitter ex to her family? By doing this she was thinking that if she ever did introduce the OMM to her family they wouldn't see him in a bad light. I see where you're going with this.

You are correct that is what he said.
