Well...the word bounty has been used.

That's certainly pushing it if someone filed a complaint.

Come to think of it, how do we know they aren't worried? They might have extra patrols out, for instance, and we'd never know.

About 9 threads ago, someone posted that HE did not carry a purse, but carried her driver's license & credit card/s in her pocket. Not sure that it was a VI. Now we learn from TE that her purse is missing..
Why would HE have carried her purse, if the info was correct?

Where are you getting the information that it was online. And online only? LE all over the country is very diligent and they dot their eyes and cross their t's. In 30 days, I think they would have plenty of time to get accurate information.

Why do you think facebook and twitter and have been altered! All three of them consistently say the same thing.

I was referring to the information about the phone calls in the police report published on myhorrynews. The phone call information mentioned in the police report was information Mr Elvis provided and was not based on information LE obtained after the initial report was filed.

" Entity 1 stated that he contacted his cellular provider (T-Mobile), who provided him with call history for the victim's phone
and he advised me that the last phone calls were at approximately 0600 "

As I said before, myhorrynews appears to have the "ear" of LE or the family and I believe the information regarding possible changes to Heather's SM posts was included in the article for a reason. I believe LE or the family has evidence that , at the very least, suggests changes have been made to her SM accounts after whatever time they have established Heather would of been able to access her accounts.

Why would they? No laws are being broken. If there's libel, that's a civil matter.

A mob mentality is forming and Bounty was tossed out there.

I hope they are. Those folks on FB scare me.

I would think there would definitely be protective measures in place after all the fiasco you know where. I considered this a given. Not to mention already watching like a hawk anyway, protection aside!

Hello all :seeya: I've been slurking in the background for years now with numerous cases. I've never posted prior to this so bear with me if this seems meaningless or redundant.

This case caught my attention because of the deep connection with FB and statements already made there. I understand why we can't link/quote or discuss certain things going on there, but why isn't there some option to discuss factual up-to-the moment when it's stated somewhere else? I'm slurking FB then connecting back to WS and it seems that we waste so much time discussing things that don't have merit because if we head over to FB we'd already have the answer. If we're serious about solving and resolving, we need to have the most current info available. And so it IS, just not here. Possibly I've spent too much time following this case and I know where some of the most up-to-date info is located, but not everyone does. Just seems like we spend an immense amount of time spinning our wheels discussing what is already known somewhere else but that info hasn't yet been "brought home."

Don't shoot me before I say I think we have some very excellent sleuthers here! Deep minds, great ideas, amazing personalities and outlooks! We are sooooo lucky to have you all! God Bless, and please help bring Heather home!:loveyou:

Please don't be too harsh :scared: I'm just slurking :seeya:

Welcome to WS.
For a minute there I got real excited when I sensed you were going to reveal the conclusion to Heather's case.

Somehow, I missed the answer/s and haven't heard that LE has made any arrests.

:dunno:

Any RSO could have had motive, means and opportunity that night. Heather was surrounded by them. We all are, ugh.

I want to know specific specifics on the phone activity. How many calls were there total, how long were the conversations, who called whom when, etc etc.

I am stuck on married guy, until such time he is cleared. LE cleared one person right away, so hoping they will say if they can clear any others. As far as I know, he is the most likely to have had the last contact with her and a love triangle is far from an unusual motive/situation where someone winds up hurt.

Ugh, they stated purse and phone are still missing? TE initially said that, then aunt gave conflicting info and did not confirm that and then gave a cryptic answer making it seem as as if it was once not found then was found--we've had much discussion about this purse.
And tonight they say purse is still missing??
Okay then.

These descrepancies drive me nuts. Although I make plenty of mistakes, once in awhile I'm sure what I read but then made to feel this AOL (almost old lady) is losing her mind and going nuts. I don't need any help with that!

TE is sticking to the fact that HE's purse is missing.
<Mod Snip>

Is this a game?

Per the article, "Horry County police records are focusing on telephone activity that occurred as late as 6 a.m. Dec. 18 between Heather Elvis’ cell phone and a man with whom she had a relationship history, according to documents obtained by the Carolina Forest Chronicle."

She was talking to her roommate around 2am. Although, the date says he dropped her off after 2am. The posts were made between 1:53 a.m. and 2:09 a.m. The timeline fits perfectly for her to be posting and talking at the same time, right when she arrived home.

So, people who don't think she posted them....
Do you think that while she was on her phone and then later talking to OM, someone was posting them, giving her plenty of time to see them?
Or someone was fancy enough to post date them, but keep in mind people are on there all the time and someone may notice it being backdated?
Or a thir option?
I don't know if she did or didn't post them, but Tumbler can be set to post 300 posts in advance, so you can have 300 posts, one each day, on your Tumblr after you die if you want, or 50 posts for 6 days after you die if you want. Or any combination thereof. In addition, if anyone had her password or hacked her account (not as difficult as one might think), they could have posted those on a different day and changed the date. Since no one was thinking HE was missing until late on the 19th, it could happen.

And, if anyone has any computer saavy at all and had access to her account, they could change the time zone, which would change the time, then post, then change the time zone back. It might or might not show up in any Tumbler records, but we don't know if LE has looked at those or not.

Agreed.

Yeah. Besides, I'm not such the Tumblr fan since I showed the 20 year old living with us how easy someone could hack her account.

I think Carolina Ash did an experiment with this the other day

Playing devil's advocate again for a minute...wondering if redial, butt dial, dial in a panic/struggle etc. could explain the 6am call. How many calls were there, and how long was each call? How much time lapsed in between calls, who called whom, etc etc. How long did the call last at 6? Those to me are the million dollar questions. And even then, unless any specific content is revealed...
