We are hearing lots of things about a new public report that names a suspect. That information cannot be posted or discussed here unless it comes from a legitimate source.

If one of our members actually obtains the document from Horry County LE, they can post the document.

If the document is part of a MSM article, it can be linked to.

If LE posts the document on their own website or social media as part of a press release, it can be linked to.

Those are the only ways the document can be posted and discussed here.

If you have questions or concerns, please pm a mod and don't discuss it in the thread.

Thanks everyone!

Bumping... This includes the 1/19 police report. We can discuss if we get it thru the proper channels.

I just posted. Message popped up that the message was awaiting approval. Never seen that before. Am I being moderated?

n/m I figured out why :)

Are we allowed to discuss the police report of 1/19/14?

Upthread, one of the mods says we can, only if you can produce an official link to MSM or Horry PD.

Luring someone, which is what I believe happened, would = the premeditated part of the equation. But I think something escalated as in I don't think Heather was easily brought on board with the contrived plan of the perpetrator.

The next question is what's the motive? I know it might seem obvious, but seriously, what is to be gained by killing her and why the willingness to risk such monumental consequences? Someone was extremely fearful or extremely angry.

Motive: The oldest motive known to mankind-Revenge. Yes, someone was extremely angry.

Seems like a lot to risk. I mean, you'd really have to be willing to give everything up in the event you got caught.

but you're trying to use logic in a crazy situation...while many can't wrap their head around it anger/jealousy/hate can rear its ugly head & make u do split second decisions in a fit of rage...

Besides,it WAS a FULL MOON!

That's not fair! It's public information from the HCPD! Why can't we discuss the police bookings?

Interesting theory and certainly possible.

Anyone consider the possibility of an abduction from her home? I read previously that the dogs did not pick up any scent outside the car. Is it crazy to suggest the car was planted?

Not sure how search dogs work at all. What leaves behind a scent for a dog and how long does it stick around for?

It isn't crazy to suggest the home abduction. Several others on here have thought the same thing. I just don't see the perps doing it and risk being seen there, etc when they could get her to PTL with her car? I believe scent stays around for days. She may have been moved from one car to the other without her feet touching the ground.

Actually I'm saying I don't think the circumstances surrounding her disappearance were the product of a split second fit, and that seems like high stakes to me.

If LE thought someone else drove her car away from the complex, wouldn't they be showing the car and asking if anyone had seen it? Wouldn't it be incompetent for them not to do this? I believe they know she drove and parked it. JMO

I just got REAL confused! lol Anyways, just to let you all know that aren't locals: they are discussing a slim, but not none, chance of snow next week (Tues & Wed last I heard.) That could change things... for worse, but also depending on if LE is watching/tracking anyone, maybe for better a little.

I don't recall when her roomie left for Florida-maybe this person was aware of date and knew this would be the perfect opportunity to lie in wait and exact revenge-or maybe Heather was followed for a while??
I don't know if Heather stopped at her house to pick up mail regularly, but wonder if she thot she was being followed might head home to let perp think she LIVED there.
Maybe she told somebody to meet her at her house or maybe she was good at avoiding perp and they knew they'd find her there?
I also mentioned B4 placing her in a fishing bait type of container for moving her.Since she was a petite lady that might be fairly easy..:moo:

I am not from there. I live in snow and freezing cold land! We are at about -20. I didn't even know you ever had a slim possibility of snow. I am sure I sound dumb. I always pictured it warm and sunny and never under 40. How often do you get snow? I think that is pretty cool. The kids must like it. Mine like it because they have it when we visit the Midwest, but get the sun in CA. I don't know if it's because I grew up with a white Christmas, but I have a hard time not having one.

Sorry for the o/t.

It is a lot to give up. But, irrational people don't think like that.

Despite my feeling/suspicion that the car was placed there, I think it's also possible she drove it, or someone else drove it with her in the car.

But if she was at PTL, I don't think it was for long. And I think there is more than one person involved in this.

As for LE, wouldn't they be showing her clothing that she had on in the pic? Maybe not if they found the clothing in her apt. But if they didn't?

And wouldn't they have shown the date pic sooner?

And a lot of other things.

I'm not sure what to make of LE's tight lips.

It's NOT often. Though lately it's seemed like once a year, but it usually is gone a few hours after dawn and is only enough to make foot prints lol. The kids LOVE it. They go nuts.

The apartment complex that she lived in is rather large. There are 9-12 apartment per building. A lot of the apartments in the complex are rentals, week-monthly rentals, and usually filled during the school semesters or golf season. Neither of which are taking place during the 17-18th of December. (I used to live in the same apartments) It is not unlikely that the surrounding apartments were fairly empty during that time. Additionally, the location of her apartment is right near the main entrance for the section of apartments. Having cars come and go all the time would also be common.

The issue would be getting her to the car as he building is a bit further back. But again, at the time of year, and that time of night, simply holding her tiny frame up and walking her to the car would not cause that much interest. As well as the fact that it is a place with quite a few college age students, and one could assume she was just drunk.

It wish we had a definitive answer on the cell phone pings. I use the location services in Google+ quite a bit and if she had an android it would show the location to within yards of where she was at, if it were turned on.

Just my thoughts on the matter.
