When I read "Matte Black" the first thing I thought of was Plasti-Dip. I recently dipped my car rims matte black, it comes in an aerosol can from Lowes or Home Depot. I ordered my online at https://www.dipyourcar.com/

There is a shop in Little River, SC near MB that "dips" the entire vehicle.

The just aired a commercial during the opening ceremony of the Olympics that new details about the investigation will be released on WMBF Tuesday at 6 pm. It aired snips of Terry Elvis sitting down talking about it and he said something to the effect of...

This has gone on too long and it's time to let people know the truth... and that there's a lot of circumstantial evidence regarding her disappearance but it ALL points in one direction.

The commercial also stated that new details would be released about what was said in the last calls made from Heather's phone before she disappeared.

I'm interested to see what information is going to be released.... and if anyone did have anything to do with her disappearance, I bet they are REALLY freaking out right now.

WHY wait until Tuesday to release new details? I doubt there could be much of significance, just the usual teasing by media, IMO.

I do believe everything points to SM except for the fact that they have no crime scene and no Heather. So what can they do? IMO, only relentless searching at this point, hopefully based on some knowledge of the (possible) POI and/or electronic data. If she is not found...this case is stalled permanently, unless someone comes forward with info, i.e something the POI said, did, etc. Even then, without finding her...I kind of despair at any justice or "closure" ( a ridiculous word, IMO).

I think the jeep incident is just ignorant nonsense and hope they are caught and charged as harshly as possible...even as to making terroristic threats.

So, the Jeep LE is looking for could be a totally different color now? It may have been dipped "Matte Black" and had the plate removed just for this incident. Thats a lot of trouble and for what I wonder.

It definitely seemed like a teaser, but from the look and feel of the commercial, it seems like it's going to be more of a sit-down interview with Terry Elvis type of thing. Maybe they had to move around their schedule to find a time to air it? If that's not it, I don't really know why they'd wait until Tuesday.

LE needs to check out area paint/body shops cause they infer it had a matte finish. Maybe it was primer and was used right before it was to be painted.

Just an aside: I don't think this Jeep incident is random. I suspect someone thought it was a bright idea. As suggested above, a poor effort to sidetrack LE, once again.

Could be. And if someone had happened to watch the news story about more things to come out Tuesday in the news then that someone may be thinking to try to stop them by intimidation.

News people will sometimes use the delay tactics and trickle out a popular story in segments. Its a tactic that news people use to get viewership and ratings. The hook and bait and drag along type thing.

Is it expensive to have a car dipped?

I dipped my for rims for less than $20 (3 cans of spray).

If you already have the sprayer ($129) you would need 2 gallons of dip @ $60 each.

If you have to by the entire kit (sprayer, mask, tape dip, etc) $269.00

If you had it done at a shop I would imagine they would charge $500-$800

I think this may actually be good news about the jeep incident if it turns out they were asked or paid by someone to harrass TE.

Because I am thinking LE will find out who owns that jeep and who was in it. It sounds like TE got a good look at it and hopefully some video evidence from a nearby business got a picture of it.
