Honestly..I would have taken,"Heather was first, M is next" as a threat. If I were in TE's shoes I wouldn't have called 911 first. I would have hunted them down because my anger and need to protect my child would have taken over. I'm NOT saying that what I would do is the right thing to do. I'm saying that if someone rolls up and makes a threat against my child,I will lose all rational thought and go after them. TE has been through so much in such a short time..I don't know how he keeps going.

You and I both think alike when it comes to this ! Who can say how they would react to such a situation when they have already been to hell and back ! I know I would SNAP !!!!!

His actions weren't successful, he didn't have his car keys, the men could have had a gun, and they sound like lowlife jerks thinking they're funny because they are obviously <mod snip> with zero brain cells left.
Is it wise to stoop to their level?

He'd be wasting time going after them, could get himself killed (and he has other children) and, whatever actions he took, didn't result in their identities being uncovered or specific information about the jeep such as plate info.

If the idea is that people are justified when they act from their emotions, I don't agree with that opinion.

Do I think it was a horrible thing to say? Of course I do but TE needs to be careful before something else really bad happens imo.

It is my understanding that we are not to be taking the victim's family's inventory . They are suffering enough !!!

Sometimes, I feel like there is just as much anger towards those who say stupid stuff than there is towards those who are actually responsible for Heather's disappearance.

"Rhodes said about 15 search warrants have been issued since Elvis was reported missing. Through the warrants police have searched Elvis social media accounts, including private messages not previously reported. The contents of those messages have not been released."

The lean (BBM) toward "not previously reported" as meaning the person who she was pm'ing was not forthcoming about this, same as I read in the PR where we discussed the wording of if PR stated directly after saying he last saw HE in October or later as in he had to pull it out of him (so to speak). If the person was forthcoming about the PM's LE would have been able to read them on the lst visit. "Here officer, see I was trying to tell her not to call me anymore, blah, blah." So it definitely sounds like someone is hiding something and in a possible murder investigation I wouldn't think your wife would be your first concern. JMO

Again...I simply stated what I WOULD DO!!! If you threaten my child, you better run. I will hunt you down. I won't care about anything else. I won't be able to think with a rational mind. I DID NOT SAY anything at all about actions being justified. You threw that in. I was describing what I already know to be true if I were ever in the same situation. It makes no difference to me, at all, if you agree with the way that I would handle this.

The thing is, idiots will come out of the woodwork in these cases. Hard as it may be, best to call police and let them deal with it. TE does not need to end up injured, or arrested. JMO

"Heather was first, M is next."
http://www.carolinalive.com/news/story.aspx?id=1004566

Are people speaking the same language in and around Myrtle Beach? :banghead:

I hope TE dialed 911 immediately upon entering his office. His phone and car keys were inside his office. The carolina article states that's why he went inside his office.

The first source, when we heard about the incident, stated TE tried to follow them. wth?

The faulty communication in this case is bazaar.

In all honesty, I wouldn't find that odd if that was something he did. I think I would have tried to follow them...calling LE and providing tag info in the process.

My final comment. Again I was commenting on the two different news reports.
The first reported TE went after them. The second reported TE didn't have his car keys.

Did TE run after the car on foot then? The second article says he went into his office because he didn't have his phone or car keys.

Just to make clear, we can't understand what the truth is because of the different scenarios being reported.

Are the news outlets being fed different stories or, are the news outlets not reporting the same story (as told to them) accurately? Can someone figure this out please?

C'mon guys...we've been doing really well, for quite a while now, without getting a mod warning about TOS about dealing with each other. If you don't like what someone says, :ignore:

Posters are allowed to give their opinion, and if you don't agree w/ it, no problem...just state your reasons without judging and move on.

Posters are allowed to repeat themselves as many times as they want. If you are bored by it, or annoyed, just move on.

A lot of newbies are posting for the first time with the qualifier "be nice to me" and they shouldn't have to say that.

One thing I've learned from being on WS...I never feel better after "getting into it" with someone...and believe me I've done that before so I'm not judging. Now, I try to say what I have to say with qualifiers that offer kindness (if I'm not successful it is not intentional).

Sorry for the o/t. Just want us all to get along, even when we don't agree. Jewel sang it best..."in the end...only kindness matters."

Ok, question about TE's upcoming interview.

Let's say he has someone that he strongly suspects. If he mentions that person, is that slander? Or does one have to prove you didn't do something for it to be slander?

Are y'all following me? It was just a thought IMO.

What if it's a way to push someone into court? By having that person take you to court? Because if I understand the law properly, the plaintiff has to prove the slander or defamation isn't true, in addition to other things, like malice...And if it's not taken to court by the person who feels slandered, then TE won't have to answer to that (legally) anyway. But it still could hinder the investigation. :twocents: MOO

I agree with you. I just know that I would snap and take off after them. There is a right way to handle things,a productive way to handle things, but I'm not going to judge TE because I haven't walked in his shoes.

Well the post below does. I remember seeing this. It was in thread #5 post 534.She was one of the searchers. I am not sure which map she is talking about. At the time I saw this I looked at PTL on google maps street view. There is a white truck in that photo. But I am not sure if this is the map she meant.

***Capt. Tab: If you rotate the google map and zoom in closely, her car was parked exactly where the white truck is, parked the same way from what I was told. They made a cross of flowers on the ground at that spot.***

I will try and link the google street view photo.

I have seen the cross made of flowers and it is at the spot where the white truck is parked. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought HE's car was parked Facing the water - the white truck is facing the woods. If HE's car was indeed facing the water and parallel to the woods, it would seem to me that she was parked - waiting for someone for a very brief meeting - and then a quick exit stage right. All MOO.

Good thoughts!! I have a question. I think this was a few threads back but we were discussing the possibility that someone other than HE could have made those last posts to her SM. Did LE say that they were questioning this or were we just speculating? I apologize but I don't remember. :blushing:

TE first gave 3AM as the time of the final phone call (I recall a discussion that maybe 3:41 was when the call ended).
It wasn't until NG, that the 3:41AM time was brought up. Forty-one minutes difference.
I also recall a post where someone suggested that maybe TE rounded the time from 3:41 to 3AM. No offense but I chuckled at that idea because when you round, you round up which would result in the time being 4AM.

This is why TE shouldn't be throwing details about the case out for public consumption (unless they're correct and LE wants him too).
imo
Not everyone rounds the same way. I have mentioned before $9.99 is $10.00 to me. It is $9.00 to my sister. Always has been and why she cannot manage money, but she really sees it as $9.00. So rounding either way could happen. JMO.

Let me ask this, why is the topic so often TE? Shouldn't the topic be HE?
It goes without saying TE is suffering.
I don't understand the point.
How would anyone who doesn't know him personally know if he's detail-oriented or not? I don't understand why anyone should be trying to explain TE's behavior.

It should be and I think it is about HE. But since TE's primarily been the one publically providing various bits of information pertaining to HE then I can see relevant reasons why he'd be brought into the conversation.

Good catch on the wording in bold. I missed the importance of that part. What was it that was said early on by LE? Something to the effect that some parties were not admitting to contact with HE.

I could see "not previously reported" including messages from people who hadn't even been on their radar before, not just from people they knew about who didn't want to share information.

LE did not elaborate as usual. Sure someone could have used her phone to send a message, but it takes two phones and I question why this person apparently failed to mention this to LE in the beginning? The article makes it sound like LE investigated her SM with warrants and discovered the PMs from the way I read it anyway.
