wow!!!!!!! they must have a ton of evidence. i think a charge of just kidnapping would be really hard to prove in court.

unless they find Heather, I don't think a kidnapping charge with no body is a slam dunk at all. I wonder if Sidney spoke up?

I wonder just how common it is for the wife or gf to kill the mistress? Wasn't there another case in Texas back in the 80s where that happened, and the wife used a very unusual yet brutal murder method?

Someone being charged with kidnapping, not murder, and the body hasn't been found has to be extremely rare, right? Especially since nowadays, most victims who are kidnapped and either not found (so the case never goes to trial), found dead (so there is kidnapping + murder charges) or found alive (and in that case, you have kidnapping, plus abuse charges, etc).

It's possible they will add murder charges too, but if they tried just a kidnapping charge, I wonder how many other cases there are like that?

I know he knew how volatile his wife is.
Of course there was sexual attraction between SM and HE. She is beautiful and willing. She was flattered a fairly hot guy (her words not mine) found her beautiful and sexy.

My younger daughter did have a crush on a guy from the bank that is 10 years older than her. I had no problem with that. She did, when she found out he had kids. She didn't want baggage from an ex.

I completely agreed with you that this situation was unhealthy, but not all age gap relationships are. And kudos to your daughter for realizing a relationship that comes with kids can be difficult. I brought two with me into the marriage and it has been challenging at times! It's certainly not for everyone!

Someone had posted a link to the local law that said the hold could not exceed 24 hours. I don't know when the clock Started ticking on that but imagine it would end some time today...

every charge made, brings back a new holding time IIRC...........LE has a trick up their sleeve. Crossing t's and dotting i's.......lirtle charges every day til the BIG ones.........JMOO

I hope LE has a very solid case, and isn't just arresting her because of all the public pressure.

Trying to prove to a jury that someone is guilty of kidnapping, yet haven't no charge related to exactly what happened to the victim afterwards, sounds like it could be very difficult.

I know. These ideas aren't new. But all the confirmation and LE's involvement being spot on and... oh, I feel for Heather and her family. This takes you from reading it to truly, truly feeling it.
