CGS & Foxfire, thanks for being so awesome. I stopped by this afternoon and dropped off 3 cases of water. I figured people coming back in close to dusk would be thirsty thirsty thirsty.

Oh gosh, thank you so much...I tried not to drink too much because I wasn't crazy about having to use the porta potties *urgh!*. But we definitely had to keep hydrated out there!

My thought was that Nancy Grace would be all over this case!
Is someone being 'protected' as in their reputation?
someone connected to this that is well known?
something stinks in this case.............JMOO

Did Heather ever work at Long John Silver's?

Doubtful. There isn't a Long John Silvers for miles and miles and miles and then some.

I had the honor of meeting Dawn Drexel at the search today, she is one amazing woman. And from what I've been told she is giving all the support and help that she can to the Elvis family b

That's terrific, I don't know how Dawn Drexel does it. Being here with CUE and searchers forces her to relive her own nightmare.
I stopped by River City cafe today and dropped off bottles water and snacks for volunteers. What a nice group of people handing out flyers and talking to people to try and get tips in order to locate Heather. So often we see and hear people say they don't want to get involved. Despite the tragedy of not finding Heather, people ARE getting involved. It's really wonderful to know how many truly good people there are in the world. The ones I spoke to didn't know Heather or her family but felt like they needed to help.

Ronald McNair Dr.

On this one the video recorder cut off and I had no idea of when until I got home. I thought it did it near the end, I was wrong. It missed a WHOLE big bit of me showing the woods, which are HUGE and dark and dense. and showing how close it actually is to Tidewater and where the remains were found. (I could see the staging and the building from Video 1 while driving, and the cars in the field from Video 1 were actually on empty road area off of this road.) I saw people there getting on horses and going into the woods searching. Maybe the other Ashley can get some vid of that road tomorrow?

I remember in :rose: Dylan Redwine's :rose: case, when we didn't hear much from LE or the news, etc., there was ONE REPORTER who went to great lengths to help keep Dylan's case in the news, and he was a Godsend: (Kevin Torres from 9news; here is a link to his fb : https://www.facebook.com/ReporterKevinTorres ) Who are some of the "Kevin Torres'" in MB? In addition to some of the resources you guys have named above to help keep Heather's case on the forefront (Chamber of Commerce, Governor, elected officials, etc.), it would be great to gain a liason reporter who is dedicated to covering Heather's case and keeping her name in the news (as well as Amber's). The more time that passes, the more peoples' memories are going to fade. Honestly, if there is an active predator in your area (there are active predators everywhere, but you know what I mean), the community needs to be warned about it to keep their eyes and ears open because THAT is what can make all the difference in case, awareness.

I'm hoping in Heather's case LE's silence is because they are about to close in on someone(s). There has goooooooooot to be a reason they are being so quiet. Let's hope they are pursuing everything to the best of their abilities.

But, it can also be catch 22....do we just "sit back" and "hope" LE's doing their jobs? What if they're not? Time is offense! Somebody's life could be on the line. God bless the LE departments who DO give 100% and know what they're doing. I hope this is the case here. Like in Jessica Ridgeway's case, I had NOOOOOOOOOOOOO DOUUUUUBTTTTTT LE was doing everything in their power to find her, etc. Same with Tim Bosma, and Noelle Paquette.

It's a fine line, all this sleuthing stuff, but one thing I know for sure, these "archives" that we are creating have value. For not just Heather's case, but for other cases as well. The experience and knowledge that some folks have here are beyond words. And as cluciano63 always says, not all police investigators are NECESSARILY well experienced in missing persons' cases.

Its hard to find the right words to really explain what I mean. I guess what I'm saying is the more heads, the more support, the more ideas, the more maps, the more images, the more everything, the better. So, for the people who dog us "armchair detectives", they have no idea what they're talking about. To meet and try to help people on here like Lady Hawkke, azgrandma, Joy Lowitzer, Wildheart (the list goes on) who are family members of crime victims, this stuff is deep. And this is our way of saying we will not tolerate abuse and crime and will ban together to help prevent it and bring people home where they belong. And that all scumbags go to prison where they belong AND STAY THERE. Hence all the links we provide of RSOs, tips to LE, etc.

I'm on a rant obviously. I guess all I want to know is that this case is not going cold for ridiculous reasons like I've seen in other cases. There was literally one where 2 weeks went by and the family later finds out the detective was on vacation the whole time!!! There are many more horror stories out there like that. There are competent investigators / investigations and there are not so competent investigations. I consider WS almost like a checks and balances station.

Here is an example of a post by a family member that we often see here: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9785734&postcount=117

So my question is, who exactly all are involved in the handling of Heather's case? Here's a link to SLED: http://www.sled.sc.gov/resources.aspx?MenuID=GeneralInformation How many investigators / agencies? How many hours a day are they putting into Heather's case? Do they have access to all the manpower and resources they need? And if not, they need to ask for them now. Whether its an expert profiler, the FBI, whoever...

I just want to hear from Horry PD, SLED, whomever that they are following up on all tips, not giving up, and are actively committed to finding out wtf is going on down there in MB.

Everything is jmo

<edit: I guess in the end, all I really wanted to say was "Can we please have a presser"? :)

Most of the human trafficking is poor girls being imported into the US for prostitution and domestic labor. And sadly and sickeningly, most of the missing girls we are talking about are far too old for that trade.

No disrespect, but why do you limit the HT rings to domestic importers. There is no age limit, especially when talking about 16-20 year olds.

Take a good look at BD, HB, HE... All missing, all young. Not to be too speculative, but not every sexual deviant is looking for a pre-adolescent.

From what I have sleuthed, they all were, just like me in my 20's. Out to have a good time, thinking immortality belonged to me. I lived so many situations that could have lead me to there.

Just a fleeting thought.

I watched a movie on human trafficking on NETFLIX, don't know the name of it. But it opened my eyes to the possibility for many of these cases. A true story of a sheriff that was running it out in a remote area, I want to say like out west. If I can find it, I will post it. But these girls were picked up by a guy who they met in a bar. He would met them out, then call his helper and arrange where they were going to meet to take her to this remote ranch. The guy would get the girl in the car, taking her home from the bar and then detour, shot her up with a drug and put her out, (I think) they then met up with the helper guy who put her in a trunk and off to this ranch. If they got pregnant, they sold the baby after she had it. It was a hard movie to watch and very upsetting, but no one knew these girls were out there. They got them hooked on drugs so they stayed or didn't run off then they took them to parties for guys that wanted hookers there. One girl did escape and they run her down and killed her. The heroin made them stay, and be cooperative.

Taken starring Liam Neeson is about human trafficking

I think the real problem with NG is the holidays they are running reruns. Unfortunately that is why the story hasn't been picked up. Considering the other remains being found I also would think NG will pick this up shortly.

Most HT in the US either involves foreign individuals brought over here (workers or prostitution) or young runaways here forced into prostitution here. In most cases, the traffickers or pimps want anonymous individuals off the street and runaways fit that profile. Brittanee Drexel and Heather Elvis cases are USUALLY too high profile for the traffickers - increases their chances of being caught.

As repulsive as it is to me, though, if HE was a victim of HT then at least she would be alive.

Are their no local investagator reporters in MB??? like the main TV channel?
Does the newspaper put in articles and pix of the search? 2 weeks and not a clue.

HE said on her social media that she had fallen at work.
We saw her picture that looked like bruises.
How can we find out if their was missed work, hospital? report? etc.
Is this all under hippa law?
Why did she want to quit TKilt and when was she going to work at a salon?
More $? Was she going to go to beauty school?
How much would she make at TKILT? I bet tips were very good.
Is TK more of a younger crowd?

According to my team leader, when a child in this area goes missing Dawn Drexel practically moves in with the family and walks them through everything...the proceduress, the emotions, etc. Dawn told me that she somehow finds the strength for her other children.

Also, the step-father of Zack Malinowsky was part of the search yesterday ( not sure about today )...I hope all of these families can bring their children home.

I am not seeing trafficking at all. They do not go door to door, IMO, and she seems to have left to meet someone, most likely someone she knew. I am still waiting for evidence of a crime. Right now, she is a missing person, as far as we know. Yes, it looks bad, but nothing really shows a crime took place. JMO

What is with WS this weekend??

this may be morbid but as you search, please watch for birds of prey circling. When we see this on the farm we try to go out, usually a dead deer. Worth watching the sky for.
