I understood it to be the car was parked along side the outer edges of the landing perpendicular to the water. My question ,again was it facing the water or facing the entrance?

I had stuff to say but I forget lol. You all distracted me with your "Who's on First?" style Dick Pond comedy. Thanks :) :drumroll:

That said, I asked this before, I ask again. Has anyone found a place to pull up police reports for Horry County? I see where you can see what happened on that spot map but um, when a rapist let loose on a bond attacks his victim a second time with kidnapping added, I decide I wanna start knowing who to avoid around here!

Hi CarolinaAsh!! You aren't the only one here that is forgetting stuff. I meant to ask you up thread aways back if you could provide a link to your Ronald McNair Blvd video on YouTube. For some reason I couldn't find it. TIA!!!

I've been "lurking"on Heather's thread pretty much since day 1. My opinion on what's happened to her has changed 1000 times in the past month. I think at this point the fact that she went missing after going on a date is too much to ignore. I just pray that wherever she is and whatever may have happened to her that she is found and brought home. The videos I have seen of her family especially her father absolutely break my heart! As a parent I can not even begin to imagine the horror of not knowing where my child is. Somebody out there knows where she is and I can only pray they do the right thing.

ETA: In no way am I saying Heather's date that night plays any role in her disappearance. I'm thinking more along the lines of jealousy and not wanting her to move on. If I can't have you no one can sort of thing :(

If I knew where it was in the threads, I'd bump it up to here, but someone posted a Google aerial shot with a position of HE's car added in it. It showed the car as being parked perpendicular to the water and facing the water.

From the above link. 'The Peachtree Landing neighbor who reported the car mentioned that it was pointed towards the water -- something they thought was suspect.'

I think that report from the neighbour was relating to earlier in the week.
We know Heather's car was confirmed as being outside her own condo on the Tuesday evening whilst she was out on her date.
I'm pretty certain either LE or TE mentioned the car was parked in a different way to this, when they went to recover Heather's car from PTL later in the week and after Heather was missing.

I'm curious if it was in fact Heather's car there on the Monday when the neighbour first noticed a car sitting there for a while.
Was it a once regular meeting place for Heather and someone else?

to me, that would make sense if someone left the car (dumping it off) as opposed to either HE was there waiting for someone (would be facing the entrance) or if that person was there first I would think she would have parked it parallel to the water. I think whoever dropped it off also was picked up either there or up the road...jmo

where is that Google shot of where the car was parked?

There was a assault on Dick Pond Rd/544 on 12/18/13 at 159pm. But here is a list of crime in Horry County. IDK area maybe a local can look through this list.

This is 12/18/13

This is great! I looked all the locaiton of all the "other" calls and cannot find one close to where HE's car was found. :banghead: Although, the "other" calls include calls made for suspicious vehicle/person. Frustrating.

My husband and children would like to thank the mods for their nice hot homemade dinner, clean house, and washed/folded/put away laundry. Without putting baby in the corner, this never would have been accomplished. Love you! :heartbeat:

I can't help give a definitive answer, sorry. But here is a picture of how some of the parking is done, there are no specific marked spots, so its kind of a free for all.

IMO, the landing was empty at that time. If it was HE she probably parked for maximum ability to see an incoming car.

I have never heard it was perpendicular, only parallel, but perhaps the terms are being used interchangeably in this case. Whatever the case, I think there was another car there and HE may not have been in either.

But in regard to the big picture, although I have my own thoughts about what might have happened, the gaps in the timeline are frustrating and make any number of scenarios possible until LE tells us more, or something starts moving with this case. She may have had more phone contact than is being released, and may have talked to someone after the roommate, plus we don't know know when the car appeared. So there are many possibilities. An encounter at/outside of her residence that went poorly and things developed further with her being taken to another location; her driving somewhere to meet someone where things escalated because emotions got out of hand, then she was taken somewhere else. She was intentionally lured by a person of trust for the express purpose of doing harm to her. Or, she did in fact drive herself to the landing to meet someone where things went off the rails, and she's at another location. I personally don't feel she's in the immediate area of her car, but who knows. And I just don't think she drove there. JMO.

So the position of the car may not tell a story until some blanks are filled in.
