A fisherman found the bodies of Jason Ashley Sanders, 36, and Candice Giannani Sanders, 23, about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. Both had been shot & were found inside their vehicle at boat ramp.

Landon Thomas Sanders, Jason Sanders' son, is charged with two counts of murder in the shootings. Two other Elberton men, Danny Wade Scott, 24, and Thomas Riley Madden, 29, were arrested Tuesday night and charged with accessory after the fact of murder. The shooting was apparently the result of an ongoinf disspute between the son and father.

Teen Landon Sanders asked for a box of tissues when he was minutes away from pleading guilty to the 2011 murders of his father and stepmother... He will spend the next 30 years behind bars as part of a plea deal that does not allow for any early release...

The Sanderses — Jason, Candace and Landon — were all involved in drugs, the prosecutor and defense attorney agreed. The married couple had no fixed address and lived at friends' houses or out of the sport utility vehicle.

"There was an ongoing dispute between Landon and his father over either drugs or money owed," Campbell said.
