Identified! SC - Jason Patrick Callahan, Myrtle Beach, missing since 1995

I can't find anything official but it's been posted on FB that it's been confirmed Jason Callahan is Grateful Doe. I want to see something official!! I'm excited and bawling here.

Such a flood of emotions right now. The happiness that Jason has his name back, and that this Christmas his family isn't out there wondering what happened and where he is. Now they will know, no matter how bittersweet it is for them, they know he isn't out there celebrating without them or homeless or laying dead and unidentified. Now he can RIP with his family.

Wow..I have such a flood of feelings I can only imagine theirs!

He is Grateful Doe!!! Jason Callahan has been found and Grateful Doe is no longer a Doe. I am so glad to hear this. It is sad that a young boy died but at least his family know now what happened.

It's true. I've talked to someone involved. It's gonna be in the news soon

This is amazing. Absolutely without a doubt amazing. How wonderful that this year saw both Tammy Alexander and Jason Callahan - two old, old cold cases - get their names back. Oh gosh, not to mention Robin Kelly from Horry Co (though her case wasn't as old as Jason's and certainly not as old as Tammy's). Absolutely amazing. This has been a breath-takingly wonderful, awesome, amazing year. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DEDICATES THEIR TIME TO HELPING BRING THEIR NAMES BACK!!!!!!!

You've found your way home, Jason.

I cannot believe this... The news we all have been holding our breath for. I am so happy he is home.

‪#‎Identification‬!

After 20 years, DNA has confirmed the 1995 John Doe from Emporia, ‪#‎VA‬ has been identified as 19 year old Jason Callahan.

I am so happy he found his way home....heartbroken and elated at the same time. Prayers for his family, but I hope knowing is better than not knowing.

Greymetal, you are a rockstar!!! You did what so many have been unable to do! You not only connected dots, you created the dots!

Finally we have confirmation of this young mans name. Jason Callahan. I have followed this case from Australia since 2003 and could not be happier on this day that the confirmation has come through. A Huge thankyou to all involved helping Jason officially gain his name back. RIP Jason

Greymetal, you brought him home!!!!

Yes, where is Greymetal?!

Great news (well, y'know, sad too :( ) and well done to everyone here, I have diligently followed from afar and am so relieved it's over.

RIP Jason, thoughts with his mum and family.

I'm not trying to be obnoxious posting in all of his threads, I am just so happy that he has been identified and will be going home. I truly think greymetal deserves a medal! Without greymetals efforts this wouldn't be happening today.
