MISSING

Joel Inbody, 12 years old, was last seen in the area of Fonthill Dr around 1:40 p.m. today, December 10, 2025.

He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and black pants with a blast cast on his right arm.
RCSD investigators are concerned for his safety. Due to his young age and the current cold weather conditions, there is reason to believe he may be in danger.

It is possible he may be in a dark Toyota Camry with SC tag # UMZ329.

If anyone has seen Joel, or have any information regarding his whereabouts, call 911 or RCSD at (803)576-3000.

Joel's father, William Inbody, is pleading for his son's safe return.

"Joel, if you’re watching this somehow, just know that I love you and I hope that you are safe and sound,” William said. “Just please come home. I’m not going to be mad just please come home.”

Hmm. Something about this feels wrong, imho. I hope I'm wrong and he's found quickly.

Without being specific, I also had an uneasy feeling after watching the video. Just an unsubstantiated feeling. I hope he is safe and warm, and if he is really driving the car, I hope all of the drivers in his path are also safe.

How did he break his arm?

Not sure how convinced I am by the idea that a 12-year-old with a broken arm could control a car well enough to not be swiftly pulled over, but stranger things have happened, I guess

I was thinking that as well. And he looks on the small side for a 12yo in the photos - could he have even seen over the dash while manipulating the gas and brake pedals?

Lots of short adult women have trouble driving, and he looks tiny. And I can’t imagine a 12 year old knowing enough about driving to make it more than a couple of miles, especially in the middle of the afternoon. By that age I understood driving as a mechanical concept but it’s totally different in practice.

Just curious about that "feeling". I didn't sense anything sus or anything....
All the pictures just make him seem like a normal young boy.... so I just have a huge "WHY for now.
Maybe that is your uneasy feeling.......

There are a lot of good pictures, and they're all recent because he has a cast on his arm in them. The uneasiness probably comes from the thought of a 12yo with a cast on one arm driving a car.

I read through all of the comments following the sheriff office's FB post. His mom "MB" posted replies to several comments. She didn't provide a lot of information, but she did mention several things that were not included in the articles.

Same. Lot's of pictures in that video most of them recent. Someone in that family is documenting this kids life, special occasions and events. Sometimes the pictures in missing cases are few and far between. I'm really hoping he is found quickly.

This is the ring camera footage of Joel leaving in the car.
He drives well for a 12 year old with a cast MOO.

What is a “blast cast”? Google just give me mining terms. Is it a typo for “plaster cast”?

I wondered if that should have been "plaster" cast, bc that's what it looks like in the pictures

I wonder if his parents (illegally) taught him to drive. Growing up in Appalachia, my parents started (illegally) teaching me how to drive a pick-up truck on their own property (not public roads) when I was even younger than this kid.

Hopefully other houses Ring cameras picked him up as well

Odd the message underneath says he’s “not mentally well.” It’s a strange thing to say about a little boy - I’d expect something like “he’s autistic/developmentally delayed” or “may be in an emotional crisis” if relevant to the situation.

Well I’ll be damned. I pray they find this kid fast. If he keeps trying to drive it’s almost inevitable that an accident will happen.

I saw this earlier, although it doesn't show him getting into the car I agree if it's him, he did well other then flying out of a driveway. IMO

It seems an unusual way to word it, but it was written by one of the parents (probably the dad -- the mom posted on the sheriff's post that his dad posted ring camera footage of the car.) He probably didn't feel that it was necessary to share private details. The mom "MB" also posted a response on the sheriff's site that made me think that that there might be some concern about MH.
