You're so right, Peek. Seems we have the same ideas about a lot. My mom is in a nursing home. My granddaughter, age 15, goes with me to visit too.The other ladies there have adopted us! My GD takes friends sometimes and they sing for them. Occassionally we'll take treats for them. Have to be careful with sugar treats, some are diabetics. I always take some sugar-free treats. I love going over there.

Just to give an update on my progress for today. I spoke with people in newsrooms for WSB-TV, Fox5, and 11Alive all in Atlanta, and the will run Johnny's story. I stressed the need to tell about special needs, Mentally handicapped, as well as severe speech impediment. I also asked they say something about Johnny may be working his way back home, or even to Atlanta, telling them about the bus driver saying he wanted to go to Atlanta. I have also spoken with WBHF radio station, Cartersville' s one and only radio station afaik. I called the local newspaper in Cartersville, and someone is going to call me back from there. I also left word at the Bartow Baptist Association for a callback. I probably won't have time today or tomorrow, but I want to get flyers to the truck stops around here. There is one on I 75 about 20 mi. north, and another one on I 75 about 10 mi. South. I left word for Julia about 3 hrs ago, but haven't heard from her. I'm gonna call Rev. Brown and ask if I can bring them some food over.

I have just discovered my kidney procedure is tomorrow not Thurs has I had originally thought. UGH. I'm not especially looking forward to that, but just want to get it over with. I'll post again b4 I go to bed tonight with updates on the above. Keep the faith! He's out there somewhere...

I heart you, Nonni!
My dad has had that procedure done a few times and it worked wonders for him and it was not painful. Good luck!!

It was in an earlier interview .I don't think it was a positive sighting , but not sure .
The interview almost made it sound like that's why Johnny went missing .

This family needs big national media attention .There hasn't been a positive sighting in the past week , that I'm aware of .We need all the major news stations to pick this up in a big way .

Does CUE have any national media contacts ?
Johnny could be anywhere of he's caught a ride .

We also need a reward fund but must go through Tricia if we start anything on WS .Anyone know how start something like that ?

Our landline phones have not worked since the big rains .phone company said they were fixed and they're not .
My own Johnny broke my laptop last week .I am so frustrated trying to do everything from my IPhone .We get spoiled easily , here .

I feel like we are running out of time .

The family or CUE need to be the ones to set up a Paypal account or similar for the reward fund. Since I'm just a random person, I'm not vetted enough is the problem with my first, quick idea. The family has my number and contact info and I'd be happy to assist in any way with that, of course, but it's something they need to arrange and then we can probably advertise the heck out of it on here :) That's when Tricia can look at it -- after the family has something formally set up.

I'm thinking CUE could surely help with that! But we on WS are all waiting for the word before we can do anything more there.

Please tell me Johnny wouldn't have gone near a biker bar :( :( :(

It's actually near a church, Cooley's and Coastal Antiques. Down a private lane. I don't know why they reported as so close to the biker bar. It's close, but these other businesses are closer. Unless that road takes you around to the back of the biker bar, but I don't think so.
Please, PLEASE don't let this be Johnny!:please:

Update: Someone from WBHF radio just called me and took a telephone interview from me. I told them that there had been sightings of Johnny in MB, but none I know of in the past week. He may be trying to make his way back to Ga. or Atlanta. I told about the bus driver, not understanding him. Severe speech impediment. Told about the rest. mgr thinking he was drunk b/c of speech, and ran him off. Told also about severe mental disability. Also mentioned his fear of police or official looking people, and to mention that Rubypop was looking for him, and Blackie wants him back home. That may alleviate some of his fear. Also to call 911 when you see him and stay with him until police get there. They had his description from a report they ran a couple of weeks ago. I gave them Julie's and Rev.'s numbers. She also got the info about Websleuth's and asked what all we had been doing to help. I was so proud of all of you going to MB, and helping from home. I told her how some had gone to MB stayed for week at a time, flyers, going to the wooded area looking where the homeless were staying, restaurants, walking around. She asked if we were a local organization. I explained we had many members nationwide, and actually all over the world. I was so proud to tell about Weblsleuths.com. LOL I even spelled it for them. I was kinda nervous knowing my friends would hear me on the radio! LOL Hope it is productive. ETA, this station is here in Cartersville, Ga.

I don't really know, Writer, but I suspect Johnny would have been afraid of the way those people look. We know he is afraid of LE. Hoping his instincts would kick in there, but can't be sure.
eta: thought I was answering Writer's post, not peekerfoo, sorry.

I was quietly following this thread and I hope for a much better outcome than this!

The police knows already who the victim is...

Police have not yet released a suspect description, and the identity of the victim has been withheld pending notification of his family.

this may not be good news, but I actually think Johnny would come nearer going to a church that a biker's bar anyway. Praying it isn't him!

Maybe this person had an ID on him? I can't think straight right now, so does anyone remember if Johnny had any ID with him? Maybe not because they used his ID picture on the posters.

Like you said, someone has lost someone...

I emailed one reporter to see if we can get the race of the person stabbed :(

Hopefully, this Mary Smalls wouldn't have phrased it the same way if it were Johnny? She would have met him too recently to give this quote, I hope.

I just saw that update, too!!! You are right, this could not be Johnny! Sounds like it's someone local to the Inlet ( RIP whomever it is)

I should just stop reporting murders here since I also read that this is the 6th homicide in 18 days in the Horry/Georgetown county area.
