Nothing yet? By now he could have gotten a ride and who knows where he could be. Florida could be a place to concentrate on. It seems when a person is picked up and they believe him to be a bum, he is put on a bus and sent to another state, then that state does the same. They usually end up in Florida if on the east coast. Perhaps fliers at bus stations would be helpful?

I did get an e-mail from HLN this morning saying that they would discuss Johnny's case and get back with me if they decide to do a story on him. Standard form letter, I'm sure, but better than nothing.

The last I heard from Julie , she said David Rader told her it would be around the Sept.8th or 9th .She said she had given up on them .

I really have no idea why there has been a breakdown there .Julie first told me that they were ready to come immediately .After talking to MBPD they held back since Johnny could be anywhere .Then I was told the 8th or 9th ,but not really sure why those dates .
This is all second hand information so take it for what it is .

ETA I'm not faulting TES at all . It's been difficult for many of us to maintain contact with JBs sister .TES may be having the same problem .I Just know I'm frustrated .

We know he's tried as recently as when he was at Denny's .The report from family is that he wanted to use the phone and their manager thought he was drunk and kicked him out .
He may be getting a lot of that . It's been a month .He probably looks pretty rough now .Jmo

He had a room key on him? now i am really pissed that they didn't check his ROOM to see who he was. <sigh>

As I said , Georgetown police did call the hotel but they thought he worked there .I can only guess why they didn't assume he was a guest

This has probably been discussed already, but why was Johnny out on his own to begin with, in a strange city? I just can't get it out of my mind that even regular people (no offense intended) can get turned around so easily in an unfamiliar place. My sense of direction is great as long as I'm close to home, but in a place I've never been, it's not. And with all these sightings of places he's been, someone should have alerted LE about him.
I'm just worried about him... if I didn't live so far away I would go and look for him myself!

I have asked myself the same question. First of all, they let him go to Family Kingdom alone. That is a very busy and crowded amusement park in the heart of MB. Seems odd that someone who is afraid of strangers would even want to go there alone. When you're on Ocean Blvd all of the hotels kind of look alike and they all seem to have the word "Sea" "Sand" "Reef" or "ocean" in their names. I can see where he could get disoriented easily. I didn't let my own kids ride their bikes in the road until they were old enough to drive cars :what:, so maybe I'm not a good judge of what Johnny is capable of, but they were worried about him even going on the trip in the first place. They weren't sure how he would handle being away from home. I can't figure out why he was permitted to go off alone like that? I am truly not blaming anyone, just curious.

Julie said she would call me and let me know whether her parents wre staying here this week or not, but I've heard nothing. I don't know what else to do from here at this point. I am worried sick about this man, but I'm at a loss.

I've heard nothing (other than the replies I've already mentioned here) from any of the e-mails I sent. I drove around some more today and expanded my usual route to include parts of Socastee and 17bypass heading north. Nothing. I checked a few places that I was asked to check and also-- nothing.

If he was going to Family Kingdom that only has rides and games, so he wouldn't need a swimsuit. He would need plenty of cash because that place can get real spendy if wanted to ride the rides. Wouldn't the family have worried about him being at an amusement park, knowing that some people think he is intoxicated by the way he speaks? I would be scared for him just because there are some bad people down on the Blvd. Remember the TV reporter who got knocked down while she was trying to do a story on live TV a while back? There was camera crew and everything, but that guy didn't care at all. he was found and arrested on assault charges.
