YORK COUNTY, S.C. — The York County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing woman whose car was towed just days before she was last seen.
Kathryn Grayson Hardy was last known to be staying in the area of West Highway 55 in Clover. Deputies say Hardy was last seen on April 8. Her vehicle was towed two days before that, and she's believed to be walking, according to the sheriff's office.

Was the vehicle towed because of a breakdown, accident, or parking violation? That's not really clear.

She had an arrest on drug possession (minor amount) late in 2025, but she was given time served and the case is closed. It appears she is still on probation for a 2023 failure to appear (probation began Nov. 2024) which required her to attend rehab with drug and alcohol testing (there were various minor alcohol charges from late teens into her 20's). Hopefully she did so and hasn't gone back out. I'm not saying that is what happened, we do not have enough information yet, but relapses are frightening for the individual and if so she would need all the support she can get.
