CC's brother started a new group for finding Charlie. It's a closed group so not linking.

The group for Charlie has been there for a while. The settings were changed from closed to private yesterday afternoon.

Murder - suicide?

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

At this point, anything is possible.
I hope searches are being conducted. The car has not been found, right?

Posts again on CD's page. Looks like somebody's getting his/her eight hours of sleep in. Posts around 10 pm EST last night, and around 6:30 am this morning.

"Whoever" is posting as CC is pretty much a moron. She replies to posts with "my husband". She is trying to post as CC, yet, she makes the mistake of referring to her husband several times.

What a mess!

Definitely the strangest case I have followed.

Really don't understand why LE haven't tracked down whoever is making these posts on CD's page - well, unless FB are being very unhelpful. Surely they should be able to get a warrant for the account?

I really hope the police are being proactive and have an internet/social media expert. Or that they contact the NC FBI to look into everything going on with his Facebook page and possibly the car. Cars for sale, auction or abandoned.

I also started searching for 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix that had been abandoned within the past month. It seems that when abandoned cars aren't claimed after a certain amount of time they are auctioned off. I've just started looking and there are a couple "abandoned" Silver Grand Prix in Georgia.

A White Grand Prix in Rock Hill SC, which is only around 70 miles away is for sale from an Auction Dealer. Does anyone know the VIN for his car? Here is a link: https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inven...=false&filtersModified=true#listing=135318361

I hope police are being proactive! And this couple is found quickly or if something happened to them the people/person responsible is found and brought to justice.

Please forgive any typos, I'm using a phone which makes proofreading tough.

Ok, so whoever this is updated FB yesterday to say CD married KB. And has been responding to comments. And what does the comment from AA about a "draft" mean?

And that they bought a house. And Kala's pregnant. And that it isn't CD, but someone they lived with. This is just insane

They should be able to, there still hasn't been any type of a search either. After following missing cases for a few years it has gotten frusterating seeing how many go unsolved because they aren't seriously investigated right away. I understand being underfunded and understaffed but it took me 10 minutes to look up the abandoned cars. There are professional search groups that cost nothing because they are funded by donations.

And with things like this they should look in surrounding state's for Cars and not discount distance.

<modsnip I just searched Anderson County's public records and there is no record of a divorce between Charlie David and his wife. He was living in Anderson County at the time of their disappearance and if I am not mistaken, so does his wife, so the divorce would have to be there, right? Even though I wanted to, I never looked into divorcing my ex husband while we lived in Anderson, so I am not sure of SC laws, but here in Ohio, we had to get divorced in the county in which we resided at the time of separation.

I also can't find a record of CD and his wife having been married in Anderson County either, but they could have gotten married in one of the surrounding counties or gone to Vegas. Gatlinburg, TN and Myrtle Beach, SC are also popular wedding destinations for couples wanting to elope from that area. Tomorrow when I have more brain juice, I will look further for marriage licenses and divorce decrees for all parties, unless someone else gets to it first. Anyone wanting to check out public records in Anderson County, here is the link: Anderson County Public Access System and Services (ACPASS)

They must have deleated those comments, I just found out about this missing couple today and the crazy posts about Kala being pregnant, their buying a house are still there. I could have missed the comments though.

It was interesting going to the very first of David's Facebook pictures and looking backwards. His shared photos were funny and kookie nothing dark. You could see a few times when it seems someone else posted on his account. Also in on of his photos it looks like he has a broken knee.

Looking at his exes Facebook a few of her posts are troubling, but mostly the post that has something about people not knowing what the person is capable of and how when they do find out how much the look on their faces is enjoyed.

I'm not sure if she has posted on her Facebook since David's has been hacked. I wonder if the hacker went on to deleate pms that they sent and forgot they were on David's page? Not saying it is her but whoever it is maybe the posting on his account was a mistake at first at least.

From what I've read, Charlie is a writer and is working on a book, I think. So maybe "draft" refers to a manuscript? Also, if you can see a post from JS on Sept 24, the person creating the posts, gave away their identity. However that post's privacy settings may make it where not everyone can see it unless they are FB friends with CD.

Whoops, it's too late to edit the previous posts but the car in Rock Hill has been listed for quite a while so that car it isn't David's. Sorry.

Also thinking that color shouldn't matter, is painting a car easy? What do you all think?

The ex has posted since CD's has been hacked. CD's brother also has some posts with the privacy setting on public that speak to some of the weirdness going on with her and the two families if anyone wants to go look. I won't link though since his page as a whole is private and I don't want to break any rules. It does seem that his brother and sister are very heartbroken, as well as their mother, based off the brother's posts but it's hard to get a good reading of people through text only and especially when you have so little to read from the others. I only have access to 3 people involved and all the groups that have been set up, but I still don't buy the story that they ran off and eloped. A close family member commented that even if he wasn't divorced, he could get married again in Utah, and it shocked me because of who the family member was that was saying it. I can't tell if it was a sarcastic comment or if she is now on board with the story too. It makes me wonder what is developing behind the scenes with the families and LE.

I don't know why this case is bothering me so much, other than it being my hometown and being familiar with some of the parties involved. I think it's just that it's so odd with the FB postings. (Also, guys, know that I am saving screen shots of everything I can that I have access to right now, but you guys don't, just in case an account or link, etc becomes public but gets deleted, or if a person we can't discuss now becomes a POI later, but the content is gone by then. It's driving me bonkers that I see stuff that I know would shed light on some things or that we could pick apart for clues, but it's not fair game yet! lol)

Sometime yesterday, CD'S brother posted in the group for him that the groups were separating their efforts and no longer working together. I wonder what happened or changed?

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

This isn't as uncommon as it looks. When two people are missing at the same time and assumed to be together in the initial investigation, someone will usually start a 'missing' page on FB. As time goes on, less information known, or information about one having a past arrest record, or could be involved in why they are missing, or simply differences in viewpoints and personalities of the various 'admins' or family members, the group splits, one for each person. Sometimes more tips will come in then. Sometimes posters feel more open to discuss the other missing person more freely. In theory, I don't know if it's beneficial, or if solves a case, but realistically, I can't see where it would hurt. Maybe more exposure, more ideas pushed through, more resources from one missing person's family/friends to push for their loved one to be found.... Let's hope they are both found and soon!

At this point, anything is possible.

To my knowledge, no the car hasn't been located.

Really don't understand why LE haven't tracked down whoever is making these posts on CD's page - well, unless FB are being very unhelpful. Surely they should be able to get a warrant for the account?

Typically things we think of, LE is steps ahead. I wouldn't doubt they don't already have all the information from FB concerning this account. But maybe not enough for a major arrest, so they are simply 'giving the person enough rope to hang themself', or have investigated it, can't find a further link to the missing couple, or the whereabouts of the couple, so are biding their time, and just waiting to see what else is posted.

:fireworks: Excellent sleuthing!!! If the VIN is known, it should have been entered into the system and flagged so that any dealer, auction house, towing company, LE in any state, junk yards, and "crushers" would immediately know that vehicle is wanted by LE. In a perfect world, all those mentioned places would have perfect employees would always check the VIN to make sure there's no 'flag' on that VIN. Hopefully if it located anywhere, that VIN is run, and has been entered as stolen, or wanted in connection to a case or whatever wording they use to flag the VIN.

The BBM, AMEN!!!! :pleading: :praying:

No idea about the draft part. This case is beginning to more and more sound like a love triangle gone wrong, or jealous ex that can't let the other go. Maybe this couple left to get away from that drama, and don't know they are reported as missing....slim chance I know.... What's the main motives for murder? Love, Money and Revenge?? Of course we don't know that anything sinister such as murder has occurred, but this case is probably closer to Occam's Razor than it seems.

I'm truly hoping that VIN stuff was done quickly into the investigation. It is frustrating to see so many unsolved cases but don't give up hope! Sometimes it takes decades to solve a case. This year alone, look at how many have been solved that we had wondered if they would ever get solved. The most recent being Erica Parsons! She was missing years before ever reported missing, and yet, she's found, and hopefully soon those who murdered her will be charged soon!

The FBI has been more active in missing person cases than in the past. States are seeking their resources since most localities don't have the funding for long searchers, nor the man power. By utilizing resources from the federal level, hopefully more cases will be resolved.

:welcome: to the case! Whoever has been posting on David's FB page has been doing so for awhile now. I don't think it was an accident. They are deliberately posting there but their motive remains unknown. If they want people to believe some of those claims, why not just post as their own name and tag his page so it shows up there? Who knows.

This is the most bizarre case. I really think the person posting on his page is taunting everyone and throwing out hints. I hope they have an FBI profiler assessing those posts, because (to me anyway, the person is being quite obvious about what they're saying. Smh, I really do not believe this is going to end well.

Oh, I meant to add, David's brother kind of posted an explanation of why the find page split on his personal facebook. I find it sad when families end up quarreling instead of standing strong together to find their loved ones 😕

Bumping because this odd case has bothered me for weeks now. I pray that their family get answers soon
