I've always assumed that if the weird posts on CDC's facebook came from someone who had done harm, that same someone would also be monitoring here. The more I read about this 🤬🤬🤬 (representing himself in court, the hint-dropping and apparent need for attention in his online posts) the more sure I am he'll have definitely lurked and probably posted.

Great points. Its beyond belief how someone like him can integrate back into society. Have a legit career and afford all this after what he had done. I suppose thats the ideal people being rehabilitated but he obviously wasnt just good at hiding his true self which is frightening to say the least.

That's exactly why violent psychopaths are so dangerous and frightening. They can align themselves with you or I and, more often than not, can progress quickly in life because of their duplicity. A 'normal' person lives one life and is (largely) the same person around all people. A psychopath has a multifaceted personality that mirrors what the other person wants to see. They're all things to all people, which is why so many people will say they never suspected it and he seems so nice...

There will be the odd one or two people who will think him creepy, but they will be so outweighed by those who think him great that they'll just put it down to something unimportant.

Psychopathy fascinates me so much because it can rarely be spotted. Then, when it is, everyone wonders why it hadn't been spotted earlier. The wolf in sheep's clothing, as has been mentioned earlier in the threads.

JMO but I think there's much more to his story. I think we're at the tip of an iceberg.

Remember his interests listed riding motorbikes, racing.....

he left a bread crumb, but there was no way to connect him to all of this without K, and Charlie....they are the ones that drew attention, and if the perp was on LE's radar for anything, then maybe that's why they suspected his involvement.....

Just a miracle that either was found. Further miracle that K is alive! And that Charlie's body was found. On 97 acres, without someone telling you where to dig or look, no way the bodies would have been located.

Motive on the superbike case??? Did he have engine work he wasn't pleased with? Did he rob the store? Was one a competitor against him in races? Just what was the motive to walk into that store, in broad daylight, execute each of the 4, and walk out? SMH..... it doesn't make sense, yet it happened!

The 2 other graves on the property, that would have to be recent like since he purchased the property...

And where the heck did all his money come from??? Do we have unsolved bank robberies??? How do you get out of prison, and make that much money in such a short time frame? Heck I've never been to jail or prison, and yet no way could afford 2 BMWs, 2 real estate properties, especially 97 acres, and a house on another property! then all the buildings on that property, fencing in with chain link fence 97 acres, all the tractors and equipment, the diesel drums, the shipping container....all that cost money!!! I want approx 5 acres chained linked for my dogs.....estimate was over $10K about 8 yrs ago!!

How did he do it? Even if in debt, he still had access to funds at some point. You can't just go buy 97 acres off your looks. THe house and property he lived in, that costs. Did he rent an office? Or own the office

Great points. I'm a realtor and we sure don't live with that money.

BBM. I second that.

Well, he certainly doesn't have a clear MO, does he? That makes it a lot harder to identify any other potential victims. Wonder if he likes a bit of "spree killing" and a bit of sexual imprisonment. If he'd kept KB two months he may have kept others for longer periods.

If I remember correctly, the morning KB disappeared, she send a text to a friend asking if she was awake. I wonder if she was going to ask that friend to come with her, but when she didn't reply, CDC came instead? Or if all three would have gone?

TK even made the news ticker on Sky News in the UK. Maybe they should tell him that - if there are others he hasn't told them about, the excitement of possibly being an international news story might get him to reveal other victims.

I don't get why they couldn't request that current realtors were also checked for previous offences as well as new realtors, when the law changed? How many others are out there with the same sort of background?

Ummm...are you aware of his degrees? He has a BS in Computer Science and an AA in Graphic Design. Both of those would suggest someone as least moderately "tech saavy".

He also has an "estimated IQ of 119, which puts him firmly in the gifted range, and his psychologist actually suspects it to be truly in the 'superior range', which is not reflected in the test scores given his unwillingness to cooperate with certain aspects of the test".

A point of clarification made known in the last press release, the pinged phone location did NOT register at/on his property. Rather it pinged as being located "between two towers in the general vicinity of Spartanburg County, and given the largely rural nature of the area, that left investigators with a lot of potential ground to cover".

Unless they have recovered the phones on the property, It is possibly TK ditched them elsewhere when travelling to/from the property. Also it Is very possible that KB left her phone in the car and TK missed It it didnt think to find it in the wake of the chaos he had just wrought. Its possible CDCs phone never pinged in the area because it may have been damaged when he was shot.

There are still so many unknowns at this point.

My gut instinct says someone would have found it by now (WSers are amazing at SM sleuthing). But maybe? Out of all those Amazon product reviews, it seems like he was more of a "good ole boy" than a social media butterfly (FB notwithstanding, but everyone is in FB). And he obviously wasn't tech savvy enough to avoid having their electronics ping to his property.

Anybody Googled other possible screen names he may have used? Found some possibles, with slightly different writing style (better written grammar), but located in SC, animal rescue commentary, etc.

Dateline NBC posted this on their Facebook page

https://www.facebook.com/datelinenbc/posts/10154551430456420

"Following the confession, the confirmed number of deaths linked to Kohlhepp is now five.
That number could grow once the new grave sites are searched."

Before his FB page was taken down I was looking through the lawn sale pages he was a member of. In Aug last year he met a woman to pick up two black and white kittens she had found dumped. He said he would bring his own cat carrier.

Do you know which group it was? One of the women recently missing from here was a member of the same group as TK, added by the same member.

Was he from a rich family? Just wondering how afforded his first property and whether he got the funds through commiting robberies?

Do we know if he has recently been in contact with his parents? If there still about. His mother in particular as I think she lived in the area.

I personally question anything he self-reported, like degrees. (Not saying he's not tech-saavy.)

I spent quite a bit of time on his FB page after story broke. I saved the page with WebArchive kmowing it would likely get taken down soon. I didnt realize that site doesnt work for any sites that have pswd protection, so I didnt screenshot anything - lesson learned.

As for his posts I agree that they come off as completely normal, albiet a bit twisted at times, but notjing out of the ordinary...especially after spending a bunch of time reviewing KB & NN/C FB pages beforehand. They both had some pretty dark tendancies, even more so than what TK posted when you take his posts at face value. It wasn't until more and more details about him emerged that many posts took on a much more sinister vibe, and obvious posting patterns started to pop out.

I agree with your 9 lives theory because he said something very similar in one of the evals during his 1st arrest. His psychologist states TK told him he brought a gun to his head and pulled the trigger as the police arrived, but it did t fire and he said something about someone wanting to keep him alive and he wasn't finished yet. Then again he is incredibly smart and may have actually meant it as both! Only time will tell.

As for his friends, there were a few that really stood out for me. One, like you was the victims advocate. Two others were guys that made really off the comments - very similar to his own - to his various posts. The most interesting one though was a local Sheriff...but for what city/county I cannot remember. I do remember he was really into fishing and seemed tp have some stake in, or just really love, some fishing gear supply company. He had commented on one of the property reno pics asking TK when the shooting range was going to be ready. I thought It was either incredibly ironic or very suspect that he seemed to be such good friends with a local sheriff....one who had clearly visited his property on at least a few prior occasions, since also commented about how much progress had been made since he was last there. It is either incredibly bold of TK to bring a sheriff there, or the guy is a dirty cop. I really hope it is th former! I am pretty sure I can find the friends pages by looking through my browser history, since I opened each in a new tab to look at later instead of clicking on each right then. I will look at them again later and see if any have a jeep or if anything strange pops out.

Finally coming out of lurkdom (been here for almost a year!) because I just can't resist throwing in my random thoughts.
-The "nine lives" comment was on his FB page (as soon as the news came I read every post over and over on his page, with chills running down my spine the entire time.) I don't think his comment is a clue as to nine victims, but I DO believe it clues us into his "nothing can stop me" attitude. He puts himself in risky situations, but they aren't a risk for him, because he makes it out every time. (Am I making any sense?)
-I firmly believe there are a lot more victims out there. This is not someone who was committing these acts because he was cycling through particular moods (say, as someone bipolar, but off their meds and experiencing changes in personality.) His life was a total front for his compulsion, which was to victimize, which starts back in his childhood (as evidenced in the various reports.) There is no way this man sat quietly by and only occasionally got the urge to attack. He's been out for 15 years- if he had two victims per year, that's 30 right there. Then you add the consideration that there was more than one victim at each occurrence that we know of ... these numbers could really add up depending on where he had been at the time/whom he might have had access to.
-I think I'm allowed to say this since I'm not being specific ... Did anyone else pay attention to his friend's list on FB before it was taken down (and before people were unfriending him?) Two really stood out to me; one was a law officer of some kind (a woman,) and another was the founder of a violence against women organization. That really creeped me out and made me think of the "keep your friends close, enemies closer" saying. I also noticed that his business is a kids' sport sponsor, so his name is on the back of all their jerseys. I'm just so horrified not only for the obvious victims, but also the community, his employees, etc. SO many people are impacted by this monster.
-Another thought: I'm noticing a lot of posters here who comment on the creepy vibe he gives off, and some were wondering how his "friends" didn't realize ... Just want to stand up for them and say that, as I was reading his page the other day, something that really stood out to me was how NORMAL he seemed. Weird sense of humor, not my kind of person, but very chatty, flirtatious, someone you would notice, but not really give a second thought about. I noticed the vast majority of his FB friends were female, that many were flirtatious in their comments, and that the ages of the women varied greatly. It makes me think that, in hindsight, yes, the creep factor is off the charts, but before all this went down he was able to charm a lot of women.

I would have put money on K and CDC having an accident and somewhere at the bottom of a body of water. This whole thing ... there are no words.

MOO and all that jazz.

I am fairly certain I remember reading that this was independently verified by a few different sources since his arrest.

I personally question anything he self-reported, like degrees. (Not saying he's not tech-saavy.)
