Documents from police show a missing person’s report was filed two weeks after a Georgia woman’s alleged murder in North Myrtle Beach.

Kristin Laymon, 53, of Duluth, Georgia, is believed to have been killed on Sept. 23 while staying in North Myrtle Beach.

Laymon was last seen alive on Sept. 23 at a resort in North Myrtle Beach, getting into an elevator.

An investigation found that Laymon had come to North Myrtle Beach with 42-year-old Bornold Eberhart, and there had been a fight between the two.

Investigators believe he drove back to his home in Dekalb Co., Georgia with Laymon’s body in his car.

Eberhart was taken into custody on March 3 and then extradited to North Myrtle Beach on March 8.

Meanwhile, on March 9, Dekalb County police located what is believed to be Laymon’s body. Police are waiting for confirmation from the medical examiner.

The person also said that Laymon was not dating Eberhart and that she had a different boyfriend.

North Myrtle Beach detectives verified that Laymon had come to the city on Sept. 22 and was with Eberhart. The department’s investigation revealed that Laymon and Eberhart got into an argument in the early morning of Sept. 23. Laymon was last seen alive entering an elevator at 2:12 a.m. that day.

Detectives think that Laymon was killed in the early morning hours of Sept. 23. A day later, police said Eberhart left North Myrtle Beach and returned to Dekalb County, Georgia, with Laymon’s body in his vehicle.

The report states that North Myrtle Beach police were called to the Club Wyndham along Ocean Boulevard for a missing persons complaint.

Officers met up with Kristin Laymon’s brother, David Laymon, and her daughter, Lauren Blaylock, who were concerned about their loved one’s whereabouts because they had not seen or heard from her since Sept. 8.

Blaylock told officers she had access to her mother’s email and noticed she had booked a stay at the Wyndham for Sept. 22 through the 24. She also received notices in the mail that her mom received a speeding ticket in Marion County on Sept. 22.

The report states that the court date for the speeding ticket was on Nov. 7, so Blaylock and David Laymon drove from Georgia to Marion County in hopes of seeing the victim. But when Kristin Laymon didn’t show to the court hearing, the two went to the Wyndham to gather more information about her stay there, according to the incident report.

The police report states that officers learned from the assistant general manager that Kristin Laymon was with Eberhart when she checked into the hotel on Sept. 22. The assistant GM added that they do not let any other person check in other than the person who made the reservation.
