Still no news? I don't recall if TJ was sentenced to additional time for child endangerment due to the drug use. If not, 120 days is quickly approaching and still nothing.

--looks like he's already out, even though the 120 days isn't up. (he was sentenced June 9th.)

--as for the child neglect charge, they haven't gone to court on that yet.

Last man to see missing baby gets out of jail Friday

The last adult to see a missing 1-year-old in Anderson County will be released from the Anderson County Detention Center on unrelated charges Friday.

Jones was sentenced to 120 days in jail on June 9 for failing to pay child support.

Jones and Leaona’s mother, Kiara Sullivan, have since been charged with unlawful neglect of a child after an investigation launched by DSS following Leaona’s disappearance revealed a 3-year-old sibling of Leaona’s tested positive for drugs.

The child tested positive for methamphetamine, cocaine, and THC.
Deputies said Jones admitted he used drugs while caring for the child.

Sullivan also had drugs in her system, deputies said.
Sullivan was expected to appear in court Friday (August 7th) for a preliminary hearing but court officials said Sullivan elected to waive the hearing.

I have a few, most of which would earn me a T.O. but "Travis Jones pleaded guilty to the charges Wednesday morning. A judge sentenced him to three years in prison with credit for time served." makes me so cross! He doesn't deserve "credit" - he deserves to be euthanized IMO!

it makes me sad how many of these parents disappear their kids and they just walk, or only get peanut time for some other thing. like lonzie, like leonna. and rachelle hasn't been charged w murder yet... and KB and CW didn't get the max. its so disheartening. children really get the raw end.

This case has got so many red flags all over it that young baby crawled out of a apartment crawled down the steps? how far could she have got? somebody would have seen her! you see a young baby crawling in the street your not gonna walk past it and ignore it :tantrum:

With little Malik being (basically) found, my prayer is now the same for Leona. Someone talked in Malik's case. I pray the same will happen here. But not with them doling out slap-on-the-hand sentences like this "dad" (word used very loosely) got. SMH.

The memorial that once hung at Edgewood Square apartments where Leaona Wright went missing is now gone. It’s been 6 months since she disappeared and investigators say the search to find her has stalled.

Investigators say they haven’t had a new tip or lead on Leaona’s whereabouts in at least a month.

But the family isn’t giving up hope. Sunday, Traci Fant who has lead all vigils and rallies for Leaona’s family, says they released 6 balloons, one for each month she has been gone. Fant says they still continually hold events, in hopes someone will help investigators.

SO terrible re that article. Meth, cocaine, MJ positive in the 3 year-old? It's a miracle that child is alive under those circumstances and those people. No effing way Leona "crawled" out of that place unnoticed. Sadder that the blame is on the sibling for "leaving the door open" or whatever. Between her, Malik, Lonzie, and so many others, I'm just sick. Usually don't click on the baby threads because I get too emotional. Welp.

I hope there is some information that comes to light soon so that Leona can be found and the person(s) responsible are prosecuted.

A common theme I have noticed in most of the missing baby cases is very few pictures. Sometimes there is just one or two pictures. Who only takes a few pics of a new baby in 6 or 8 or 10 or 14 months of life ? Most people take hundreds of pictures of their new baby. What could it possibly mean ? That the baby was 100% loved and doted on and cared for and then ' poof' they vanish one day after being the apple of someone's eye every day of their short lives ? :thinking:

It has been seven months since the disappearance of one-year-old Leonna Wright. She was last seen at home inside her Pendleton apartment. Authorities have not commented on whether there is a connection between Baby Leonna and the body found today, but people familiar with the area told WYFF that Wright's neighborhood is not near Cherokee Circle
