Deceased/Not Found SC - Leonna Wright, 1, Pendleton, 6 June 2015 *Arrests in 2020*

Nancy Grace just did a promo for this case about 5 minutes ago. Her show just came on but she is discussing something else first. Information regarding this child should be covered on her show in a little while. HLN Network.

Great news. Say what you like about NG........ but she does get a lot of info out about missing kids!

ETA that ' say what you like' is not directed at you Steel.. just anyone. I know I've had plenty to say about her myself.

A little about Travis Jones... he's currently being held for failing to appear on a misdemeanor but there's more in his history:

Jones received an eight-year prison sentence in 2002 after being convicted in Anderson County of first-degree burglary, grand larceny and accessory after the fact to a felony.

In 2014, Jones was convicted of criminal domestic violence, court records show. He also received a suspended sentence in 2014 for possession of less than a gram of methamphetamine.

So we've got domestic violence and meth. I'm afraid this is gonna get ugly.

I listened to the entire 911 call (about 9 minutes). The neighbor says that the 3 year old saw the baby outside in the parking lot next to a car and someone picked her up.

It's a little sketchy though. Starting around 7:32 is where the neighbor talks about the 3 year old. At around 8:20 the neighbor says the boyfriend keeps yelling "Where's my baby" and that it's making the little girl nervous. She also says they (mom and boyfriend) are out there screaming and she says it's not the baby's (3 year old's) fault. Then she goes on to say she's just trying to make sense because it's not making sense to her. Then the police arrive.

Here's a better link to the 911 call:

Oh, my, another missing toddler. Will this one end well? This just makes me ache. Maybe someone saw the open door and thought about robbery, saw the baby & decided to kidnap her for ransom or to sell?

If this same scenario has been posited already, just excuse -- I'm just now getting to this thread and posting this very early into it.

Oh, this is not good. Where did you go, littlest girl?

BBM , is this a typo? The BF was saying 'where's my baby ' ? Is he the baby's bio dad or mom's live in bf? Sometimes early reporting can get facts wrong. tia

I heard the neighbor say it in the call. She also said the 3 year old and Leona have the same father and that the mom didn't call bio dad to check if he had her. Mom thought he would take both girls, not just one so she didn't call him.

omg.....my stomach always drops when i hear those words :(

eta........is there a scheduled presser?

My stomach dropped when I saw the first post & article. Oh, these precious little children.

Please let this one end well. We need a victory amid these other infant/toddler tragedies.

Nope, no typo - see Tillicum's response. Seems both mom and the boyfriend are emotionally over the top. I still don't know if the mom plays into this but I get awfully suspicious when people focus more on themselves and their feelings than what their missing child is going through. And for the boyfriend to scream about "his" baby, well, that raises some red flags.

It's also concerning that neither the mom nor the boyfriend spoke to the 911 dispatcher. They of all people had the best information to give to the police yet they instead left it to the neighbors to try and piece together what had happened.

Hinky, hinky, hinky.

On Monday, a source involved in the investigation said Sullivan admitted that some of the details that she provided to the newspaper were false because she was “scared.”

Speaking Monday night on the “Nancy Grace” TV show, Skipper said Sullivan did not check on Leaona when she got home Saturday morning.

After spending Sunday at a relative’s home, Sullivan returned to Edgewood Square on Monday morning.

...has this ever actually happened? Someone committing an unrelated petty crime grabbing a baby for money? Not Lindbergh baby style, because they're hopped up on drugs or because they're a pedophile but just because they saw an opportunity?

We need the sleuther version of Occam's Razor - look at the mother or her boyfriend first, it's the simplest and most likely scenario.

LE may look at the parents first but we can not because they are considered victims until LE says the are suspect.

The mom was interviewed on the news last night. She acted off. She acted on the verge of histerical, yet no tears till half way thru, and stated that Leaona 'was' a good baby. The rest of the family, grandma and aunts, seem much more real and concerned about the baby. I just hope they find the baby or someone cracks. Too many people, especially parents, seem to get away with this.

Haven't been on a forum since the Anthony disaster. We should be hearing from a gal who is a local and has been keeping me informed. There is lots to discuss here.

So I guess the earlier reports that she checked her at 6 or 6:30 am , then slept until 9:30 am were misreported or untrue ? Geez :(

"I talked to a woman last night who has a baby by Travis, the boyfriend. She said she is actually still married to him, but he left her at the hospital when she was having her baby.. and he has three other kids. She said she talked to Leaona's mother on the phone. She says she took a polygraph test but Travis has refused to take one. She also said the mother said something that sounded peculiar to her, but she didn't want to repeat what it was and she hopes the mom said the same thing to the cops. oh, and she said he was a meth head, she found out too late though, but she doesn't know if he had gotten clean or anything. He woke the mom up and told her the door was open and the baby gone, neither one of them have a car. Oh, right now he is in jail for failure to pay child support for the child of the girl I talked to. If he comes up with $, he could possibly get out.

Maybe she was sold for drug money......meth heads will do just about anything for another fix, plus he's in jail for failure to pay child support. Of course, they didn't arrest him for THAT until all of this started. There's lots of people out there that would cough up a thousand or two for a healthy baby of their own.
