A South Carolina woman who held down her husband's high school cheerleader girlfriend as he stabbed her to death to prove his love has been sentenced to life in prison.

Multiple media outlets say a judge showed no mercy to Yolanda Thompson on Friday. She pleaded guilty to murder several months ago.
