Nami Patel, 16, vanished after going to school on Oct. 29. Her brother-in-law is also missing.

Last Seen Wearing: Patel was last seen wearing a yellow V-neck shirt with white dots, blue jeans, white Nike shoes and a black jacket. She was also carrying a white Coach bag.

Nami's BIL, Sanjeev Verma:

Verma is the manager of the Corner Store in Elloree. He was last seen wearing a brown and white jacket, white and black Aeropostale shirt, light blue jeans and white sneakers.

There's not a lot of information out about these two.

Interestingly, in the article you posted, it mentioned that Nami went into the school to drop her cousin off, and then left again. Hopefully something shows up in her phone records to show if she was meeting anyone (and if so, who)?

It's hard to overlook a connection between the two. I wonder if they were close? It says that Sanjeev's car was discovered in another town. Hopefully LE can find something there.

Officials said Verma and Patel are related by marriage. Investigators said they are looking at all possibilities, but have not determined if Verma and Patel are together.

Ravenell said Verma’s wife last spoke with her husband around 6:45 p.m. Monday when he told her he was driving to speak with a local magistrate. Verma never arrived at the magistrate’s residence, the sheriff said.

Clarendon County Sheriff Garrett is working with the Orangeburg County Sheriff to track them down. Right now they have no indication that the two are still in Clarendon or Orangeburg County.

Sheriff Garrett said they do not suspect foul play.

Odd that found Sanjeev's car was found, but not Sanjeev and Nami.

Interesting that Elloree, where the car was located, is midway between Summerton and Orangeburg, where Sanjeev lives:

Elloree Police Chief Preston Avinger said Verma is the manager of the Corner Store in Elloree.

He said Elloree police seized several poker machines from the store which authorities believe to be illegal on Oct. 21. Investigators are looking to see if that seizure had anything to do with the disappearance, Avinger said.

Why didn't the school notify the parents that Nami wasn't in school Oct. 29? Nami's mother realized her daughter was missing when she went to pick her up from school.

Apparently he's married to her sister, if he is a brother-in-law. She's too young to be married, so he can't be a brother to a husband.
Maybe they were having an affair and ran off together.
