ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office is searching for 35-year-old Nina Ross.

According to authorities, family members last made contact with her on Nov. 28. Ross last told members of her family she found a job in Santee as a waitress. However, two of Ross’ children were found alone at a gas station on Dec. 4 in Blacksburg.

Ross is described as a white woman who stands 5-foot-1 and weighs about 140 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes.

Santee is quite far from Blacksburg, about 165 miles. Both Santee and Blacksburg are very small towns.

According to an incident report, Ross’ mother-in-law took four of Ross’ children to Greenville in July.

A family member reported on Dec. 4 that she was called by DSS and was told the two kids were found alone at the gas station.

According to the report, that family member told investigators that the last contact she had with Ross was on Facebook messenger.

Wow, this is confusing! So Nina has 6 children in total, 4 were with her mother in-law and 2 were with Nina? Why? Where is the children's father?

6 kids. 4 with mother in law. Maybe MIL has 4 because her son is the father of those 4 and someone else is the father of the other two. I really wish they had stated ages of the two left at the gas station. All 6 children could have the same father. It happens.

Does Nina have a car? How did the kids get to Blacksburg? Does the gas station have CCTV so LE can see maybe how the kids happened to wind up there.

This is very concerning. We need more facts and information on this one.

I don't even know what to make of this story, definitely need more info. My first thought was "at least the kids were found".

Ugh, where could she be? Husband, boyfriend? I am hoping the kids are old enough to talk. I do wonder if the kids were let out and told to walk?
