Can they not produce a better picture of the shooter? I can't find a source that will allow it to be enlarged to full screen or even near it. In the photos I can manage to see, he has unmistakably brown skin, especially on his left hand. It may be that the coloring is so off on the photos that he really is white - in which case, you'd think someone in the media would point out "although he appears to have very dark skin, that's attributed to the poor quality of the camera"

I am local and just hearing about this from my daughters. I can not believe this tragedy is unfolding in my beautiful city. I love this town.
Such sadness for the families and all of the community.

Someone will recognize this shooter.

I noticed that too. It looks bandaged, maybe? I wonder if he's had recent surgery, or been in a fight? Maybe he thought his nose was a distinguishing quality and it was an attempt to cover it up?

Here is the flyer that Charleston Police have just released showing the suspect. He doesn't look to me as being "sandy blonde" or for that matter does he look necessarily white

What do you fellow Websleuthers think? Does he have "sandy blond" hair?

That looks like a wig to me. That haircut is straight out of the 90's (my sons did the "mushroom" or "bowl" cut back then). If it's his normal hairstyle, even easier to identify him, unless he cuts it or shaves it.

Can anyone make out the logo on the shirt? It kind of looks like Hard Rock Cafe, or a surf logo that I can't seem to think of the name for. Design on his right sleeve?

And could it be a hair net he's wearing? It's hard to tell if it's his hair, a cap, a wig or a net.

You know, the minute I saw the picture, I thought it was a girl. The hair, the slight build, etc.
But the picture of Dylann, made me actually gasp out loud. Yikes.
