Oconee County Sheriff's Office asking public's help after man found with head injury


OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) -- The Sheriff's Office is searching for any information on wounded individual found in woods, who was reportedly hurt off Hope Avenue and Thrasher Road in Seneca.

Upon arrival, officers responded to the scene and located a white male with a head injury.

Oconee County Sheriff's Office find man with head injury in woods, family identifies victim

The victim's family spoke to us and identified him as TJ Phillips, and said he has not regained consciousness since being found injured.

His family says he is currently on a ventilator to help him breathe, but he is breathing on his own as well.

Man charged with attempted murder after deputies find individual with head injury in Oconee County woods

Marshall Lee Rogers was arrested and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime after investigators found a wounded man in some Seneca woods on July 10.


OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) -- The Oconee County Sheriff's Office announced they've charged a man with attempted murder after authorities found another man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head in some Seneca woods

Seneca man dies 4 months after being found with gunshot wound to head

the sheriff’s office announced that Rogers’ charge has been upgraded after autopsy results showed the victim died of complications due to injuries from the shooting.

Rogers is now charged with murder. He was previously charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Rogers remains in the Oconee County Detention Center without bond.
