Should all of AM's SC conviction appeals be exhausted and he's still whining, he can take on the US Courts with this petition that he can fill out himself and file for a mere $5. Of course he might also be filing these for any of his fellow inmates while he's in lockup.

Trading Commissary for filing useless Petitions. He will continue to do what he has always done. He'll try to charm them, while he uses then for his own purposes. MOO

I'm on the other side of the fence regarding AM not planning this and believe AM in fact did plan this. AM had a history of nothing but planning things, planning how he would steal countless amounts of money from those that trusted him. Planned as he sat face to face with clients telling them he had their back and he would take care of them. After PM's boat crash had a plan as he rolled into the hospital flashing badges and suppressing victim statements. Planned the Circus sideshow on the side of the road with the ghost shooter first then switched plans and went with the suicide attempt with cuz Eddie. That stunt was just that a stunt since IMO AM didn't have the grapes to follow through with it and just another planned event to draw attention away from the boat incident as well as all his money grubbing schemes coming to light. As for the night of the murders, just another plan and the weapons that went missing a couple months before were just laying in wait to follow through with yet another plan. Those weapons were already down there hidden as AM spent the day finalizing the plan. A call to MM was made and PM being on location as well set AM's wheels into motion. This final plan was AM's last attempt to create a grand distraction and it was done without rage but with a cold heartless soul. AM sold any empathy, any love he may have had for his family and others a long time ago. AM's only reason to live was to feed his monster no matter the cost. AM spent a life of planning things to feed his need and to keep the balls he was juggling in motion the problem was that AM had to many balls in the air and once he realized that he started to sacrifice ball's that didn't fit into his ever changing juggling act, family as well. He basically Confessed himself, when he told his Sister In Law that this had been planned for a long time. He also said that No one else was there. Along with the Snap Chat Video- GUILTY. Moo

How else would AM have confessed and told the jury he lied about the video, etc if he didn’t take the stand?

I personally don’t think his counsel was surprised about him testifying. That was a farce. “He wants to do this your honor, he wants the jury to hear it from him regardless of what I say”. As if that wasn’t discussed at length and hashed out between the three of them…three lawyers. moo

Used to be, a good ol' boy could get 1700 acres and house for 5 bucks, now all it gets him is a petition. Poor Alex;)

I think the filing has to be within a 2 week period. Not positive but there is a rather quick deadline.
i thought it was 30 days...I think it will be dismissed just as fast as Judge Newman took care of those requests for mistrial that DH put forward during trial. This state is done with AW. Apparently the 99 cases need to go first..at least that is what I read.

RM's interview has been on my mind lately. He doesn’t strike me as someone who would do an interview without a purpose. jmo

@Seattle1 said it is 10 days. Then the waiting game for us while they go back and forth with getting it completed.

These are the master lie detector guys. It’s amazing; great interview with a juror too.

That is not at all what I was saying. Paul would look for and find his pill stash to keep his father from taking the pills. I think that AM needed them and he knew that Paul most likely had them and he wanted them back. I also think that the bag of pills is what he was after when he turned Paul and went into his pocket. I do not think he was after the phone. I think it was a combination of being caught stealing, the boat suit and his addiction. I do believe that MM was considering a divorce. JMO.

I believe this theoretical scenario, too.

While most of us are not psychologists, or whatnot, it sure seems AM had these murders planned prior to the evening in which they occurred. I recall Tinsley stating he thought the premeditation began in DEC 2020 although I never could pin down what caused him to believe that as fact.

I watched a video 6 days ago with psychologist, Dr. J.Matthias, who provided wonderful insight and an analysis on the murders.

I'd like to share that he felt Alex hated what Paul was doing to the family name. The way in which PM was shot twice at close range ejecting his brains was cruel and unusual treatment. Paul was a cause for trouble which, iho, in turn, was caused due to Paul being the black sheep. He felt PM acted out in a way to gain attention for himself.

It was BM who was the golden child that would lead the powerful dynasty forward if they could just get a law degree for him. BM holds family secrets. I read BM helped JMM sell off assets such as the tractors, equipment, etc. and decide how the money would be divvied to various debtors.

The Dr mentioned BM's testimony where BM stated he and his family do not believe Paul was driving the boat and the M family does not think AM killed Paul and Maggie. BM is willing to perpetuate the lie into the next generation, as they all are.

Then, he mentioned the lack of justice for Maggie or Paul during testimony. No one on the M's side stood up for them, unless you count the few kind words JMM had to say about his nephew. None of the family seemed shaken that MM and Paul were gone. Their concern was centered only on Alex.

They are a family who made their wealth off of a lie. The train incident was a suicide but the M sued and won based on a lie. There is shame in them. They all know their wealth stems from lies and stealing from the RR. M's will do most anything to remain in power. Alex felt Maggie and Paul were expendable. Apparently, the remaining M's feel the same way.

The defense had 10 days to file the notice of appeal (Rule 203). If they would have missed that deadline I'm guessing they wouldn't be able to appeal. After the notice is filed they have 10 days to order and pay for the trial transcript (Rule 207). The court reporter then has 60 days to deliver the transcript (Rule 207.2). The reporter can file for an extension (up to 3 times max or 90 days total) (Rule 207.3). After receiving the transcript, the initial brief must be served on all parties to the appeal within 30 days (Rule 208). So, it may be 90 days before they even begin to write the brief. Then there is an answer to the initial brief and so it goes on and on. It could be a few years before it even makes it to the docket.

More on the appellate process: Appellate Court Rules
Thank you!!
