The jurors were separated by gender and I believe Becky Hill was coming and going in the “women’s room.” So I wonder if there will be a distinct difference in the answers by gender? JMO

So judge HAD ordered a bailiff be in the jury room with them at all times and that order was not followed!!

Wow. I don’t know what’s going on in Colleton County but this whole case has been a joke from beginning to end! A complete joke.
Ok, so sounds like that bailiff needs to removed from their job? And it would seem the same for BH? These latest developments are just appalling. MOO

There just does not seem to be any protocol, professional conduct or standards, decorum, or order - either imposed by the court, judge, or any in official capacity? IMO

So another clerk and an alternate juror told defense this last juror rode with Becky Hill in her car during the trial and the juror said nope. So who’s lying?? JMO

I feel like the jurors will not be truthful..cudos to the brave juror who came forward.mOO

This is going to be even more of a crying shame if it turns out that it's just Juror Z and nobody else says they were influenced by BH. ONE juror is all they need for a retrial. It kinda makes me wonder if....nah, that would be crazy right? ;)

By my count, one juror saying she was influenced is enough for a retrial. Justice Toal rehabbed her by asking if she was influenced by other jurors like she said in her affidavit and the juror confirmed that was correct. Justice Toal didn’t make it clear if the juror was rescinding what she said about being influenced by Becky Hill. JMO

So far just juror Z was influenced. This is a mess!

It is so aggravating that this one woman could cause this much drama and that none of these jurors saw fit to say anything during the trial. I’m really skeptical about the jurors who became busom buddies with Becky Hill and after the verdict and her book came out these jurors were quick to snitch on her. I don’t trust those jurors. It seems vindictive on their part and not that they were genuinely influenced to change their verdict based on anything she said! JMO

Holy Smokes is Right! This trial is jaw-dropping. Wonder what Judge Newman's opinion is of this mess.
I'm sure he is heart broken and sad to see someone he put so much trust over the years potentially cause a retrial.

Yes, Judge Newman is highly respected and his clerk's behavior should not reflect on him. IMO

It's amazing to me that some of the jurors didn't see anything, hear anything nor do anything.

Interesting only one juror admits to being influenced by Becky Hill's statements about AM's guilt. And, that was the only juror to claim hearing any comments from Becky Hill re AM's guilt.

If I were convicted of a crime in Judge Newman's court I'd sure be pushing for a new trial right about now. That woman should be prosecuted.

Wow that went by fast. So it’s just juror Z who says she’s influenced. Justice Toal denies Harpootlian’s request to inquire further and clarify with Juror Z. I think Justice Toal is not inclined to give AM a new trial and will force him to go through the appeals process and let the federal courts grant him a new trial. It will not be done by her hand.
