Diane Joy Cannon – The Charley Project
www.namus.gov/MissingPersons/Case#/8478?nav

Joy Cannon (in Charley Project as Diane Joy Cannon and elsewhere as Joy Diane Cannon), fits on height, weight, PMI timeline of 10 years. She went missing from over the TN border in SC since June 1982 though some 350mi away. She had left home to visit friends 'in the area' according to Namus. Hasn't been seen since.

Joy had several markers - tattoos, previous pregnancies, previously broken right arm and clavicle. Namus doesn't specify which bones other than the skull were recovered, so it's not possible to know if the birth and breaks could be compared.

This seems like it could be helped by a reconstruction.

Both Lorraine and Joy look like possibles to me but with more information it's going to be impossible to rule them in or out in this forum, IMHO.

Any thoughts on the ring? Dating, origin, etc.

I can't figure out what stone it is, but I think in the circles next to it where diamonds. :/

edit: forget that, i just saw the third pic.

Mary McMaster and her friend Deborah Ernandez (not Hernandez) both went missing in May, 1983 from Winnsboro, their car was found in Richland County.

Honestly, my money is on them.

I remember discussing their disappearances. I suppose it’s going to be hard to rule them in or out.

Do you think it makes sense to inform LE regardless?

edit: I submitted it.

Never heard back from them, by the way.

I sure would hope that Ms. McMasters & Ernandez have been reviewed as possible matches given the remains were found 13 miles from last seen location and in the same county as last seen, and Ms. Ernandez's vehicle was found in the bordering county of Richland.
