Any thoughts on the ring? Dating, origin, etc.
Maybe a synthetic ruby? That's what I'm mostly seeing on a google lens search - along with a mention of it being fairly popular in 40s/50s, available thru Sears, and also maybe a type of class-ring ("male" is what I saw).

I think it could be MP62421, but I’ve submitted a lot lately and don’t want to be seen as a crank. Will one of you do it?

Nevermind, I got impatient and did it.

Girls in high school put angora yarn inside/around a boyfriend's ring to make it fit their smaller fingers. When it's nice and fresh, it looks something like this (although I've seen them where there's like a mass of stuff around the ring where it looks like a gigantic blob of shredded cotton balls or cotton candy, you can hardly see the ring) THIS IS NOT THE DOE'S RING, just an example:

I see residue of such fuzzy stuff inside that Doe's ring (this IS the Doe's ring):

So my guess is this is a high school girl, or just recently out of high school. And I don't think the boyfriend did it or that ring wouldn't be there. ALTHOUGH it's somewhat strange there's no marking for the school/institution. But students won't always have their rings done like that, sometimes, it's just kind of custom, what they want/can afford. Because of this ring thing, I'm jmo guessing this Doe's 15 to 20, maybe 21. If they found this body in a-- heap of sawdust, in pieces??-- that is probably not someone actually killed there (guess only) but rather was used as a dump site. And there's not even a complete skeleton in the sawdust pile, was this actually a dismemberment? Maybe? I think they'd note that.

Usually, I'd say a hitchhiker, but just checked, and Ridgeway SC is about a half an hour from Chester County, where Rex Heuermann and his brother had purchased a great deal of property in preparation for Rex's 'retirement." The brother was already living at the property for quite some time when RH was arrested, and I take it RH was down there pretty frequently. One of his victims, Sandra Costilla, was recovered with a sheen of sawdust on her remains. Rex Heuermann graduated from high school in 1981.

Interesting. Probably not, but one can't really be sure. So maybe Janice Fullam, who was 17 when she disappeared Oct 1981 from Hauppauge (where a known Heuermann victim was last seen) and Janice had a boyfriend. Hauppauge does not have red as a school color, but for nearby Smithtown, it's the primary color. (EDIT: Just updating, Janice was evidently a junior at Smithtown, class of '83, based on Doe Network) East Islip also uses red. Janice is 5'7" and has been mentioned by some posters in connection with potential RH victim discussions in the past.

Kelly Morrissey 15yo Lynbrook June 1984 has also been mentioned:

I haven't heard this MP mentioned in associated with RH, Leichia M. Reilly, 21yo and missing from West Seneca 1985:
Leichia was last seen about 3AM on 1/31/1985 leaving the Pierce Arrow nightclub at Seneca St & Center Rd., West Seneca, NY. She may have been in the company of a white male driving a blue Chevrolet Camero.
Had red purse, red shoes, purple and red sweater-- ring looks kind of reddish purple in some shots.

I'm sorry, I know it seems far-fetched but-- it's weird. Really weird to me that it's that close. And if you look at this Old Brick Store Road on streetview, it is... I can see how it would take 10 years to find someone or something in such a location. I don't think anyone just stumbled into that location by accident. I don't know if I was in the exact right spot on that road, but if I was anywhere even remotely close, I can unfortunately see how PMI might be very lengthy.

I don't like quoting my own post, but I really did want to update on this.

I know many will view this as far-fetched nonsense. I don't, though, I think Heuermann is culpable in many, many more crimes and going back many years. I see possible association with Heuermann and SC going back to the mid-90s, and that's only what they have tracked. Even if that's the case-- why South Carolina, why this particular pinpoint in South Carolina for them at any time? Why Chester South Carolina? Hunters found this Doe, Heuermann is a hunter, and has been for decades. He and anyone else associated with him didn't pick Chester South Carolina out of the clear blue sky, They jmo had to be clearly already familiar with the area, and I'd love to know when he first visited, and hope we'll find out more about his hunting licenses.

Heuermann went to Berner High School. I searched this up before, for the school colors, and they were showing no red-- but that's current, it's now (I think?) a middle school When Heuermann was there-- red/maroon & white. The Berner Bisons. So yep, could all just be a coincidence, but seriously, it might not be. Those locations-- Chester and Ridgeway-- are incredibly close.
