Hope everyone caught the HLN/True Crime Live segment.

I almost wish LE could take the murderer out for a drive today. Locked in the backseat!

Didn't catch it. Is there a link or a video of the segment?

Question: Do those child locks lock automatically all the time or do you have to activate them manually?

There is a button near lock button you have to push to activate them

Mike’s guest Casey suggested the murderer fantasized such a crime for a long time.

How frightening is it to imagine a few guys rooming together, one drives for a ride share company, yet his roommates might have access to his vehicle?
Yikes.

*only thinking of safety precautions & things that could occur, not implying Uber involved in this case.

Moo

Thanks @cass523
Sorry, can’t like your post being it’s an obit.

Next time I’m in a cab or ride share vehicle, my Mace will be in my hand.

Thinking he had a few in him as well.

I have wondered since his high school website says he played basketball and sounds as if he was entirely into it, if he went to watch any of the March Madness games. College games, popular college bars right? There were games every night if I remember correctly, it is one of the reasons I thought he might be out drinking himself or had been in these bars himself on any of or both of those nights. He could have even seen her or overheard her call an Uber. The bars would have been hopping as well due to the games I would think, more so than usual. That also could lend to fights, very drunken behavior, etc. maybe even more so than normal, more people, etc...

I thought about March Madness too.
Here, the bars were at capacity, I think in any college town they would be.
Wonder how good he actually was at basketball?
As short as he is, he had no future as a pro, imo.
Oh well, a lot of prisons have hoops, he might play again one day.

I have seen them as well and they are packed solid even long prior to the first games.

He is not a big man, I have noticed that.

He will have plenty of time on his hands to play hoops in prison, however, I doubt he will get to play just any old time he pleases... As he shouldn't. He will probably dearly miss his car and he sure was not thinking about his own baby or its mother either.

How cool would it be for LE to drive him to impound to watch LE rip his car to pieces? All while he’s safely locked in the backseat with an armed driver.

My heart aches for her sister, it was just the two of them. I honestly don't know how I'd carry on if something were to happen to my sister

Also just wanted to add Uber has a bunch of Safety/convenience factors that "regular" cabs today don't have like splitting the fare with friends you're sharing the uber with, a button you press in the app if you're in trouble that tells the Uber call center to call 911 and give your location and vehicle details, "Share my trip" which is probably the best one for piece of mind- you can share your real time location with anyone who can then track you while you're in an Uber. All of this stuff is right on their app. I actually feel very safe in Ubers, but to each their own. And of course all of this is only applicable in an actual Uber which we know Sami wasn't.

Oh and just FYI five points is always crowded. It's a mad house every weekend and many week nights. It's truly an experience for those who have never been but of course some bars are more crowded than others. I don't remember March Madness being anything special in Cola-we're not a basketball school- but this year since games were played at Colonial Life Arena I have a feeling it was a bigger deal this year than in years past.

It would be worthwhile. Maybe let him even watch it by live feed in his cell (we will let you have a personal TV just this ONE TIME EVER)...
