Sanaa Amenhotep, 15, had been shot multiple times, killing her, Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher confirmed.

Investigators believe the teen was killed on the night she disappeared.

Officials said she left her home with a friend and two males, and likely left willingly, but that it turned into a kidnapping before she was murdered.

Who would shoot a 15 year old. For what reason? Gang related, I don't get it. What could she have done to a gang to deserve this? Was this in retaliation for what her father is doing.? So many questions. MOO

Possibly, or maybe they did something to her and did this to keep her from going to the police?

i dont blame her, i would want heads to roll too. i wonder if her words about her daughter being "lured" were her being hurt and angry or if there is evidence that she was lured.

The family, bolstered by support from many of those who spoke, also called for a law to be named after Sanaa that would change how police respond to reports of missing children. The Sanaa Amenhotep law would prompt law enforcement to “respond more aggressively” when a child is reported missing and not wait for the usual timeframe before searching.

Authorities in this community say they're facing a gun violence 'crisis.' They're asking residents for help - CNN
Saleemah Graham-Fleming had been told she wouldn't be able to have children. That's why she always called Sanaa Amenhotep, the oldest of her three daughters, a miracle.

The two loved each other fiercely: they had frequent "cuddle time" sessions and dedicated Friday girls' nights. The teen would often join her mom for errands, riding in the passenger seat and snapping photos for her social media accounts, which she always kept up to date.

The way gang initiation usually works is that a candidate for joining the gang is compelled to participate in something unspeakably horrible and then they have the choose to either be okay with horrible things like that and be a part of the gang or be killed. Both girls may have been initiated that night and Sanaa refused to join so was killed or Sanaa's abuse and murder may have been the initiation of the other teenage girl, who's life is now in great danger from having identified the actual trigger men (or not depending on how strong the gang is)

It's outrageous how regularly this sort of thing occurs in S. Carolina but that Chandra Cleveland woman exploiting every incident to shout that obviously spurious "We have over 4,378 missing children in the state of South Carolina" claim doesn't actually help with the real problems with law enforcement there.

Motive:
The prosecution says the murder was because of Nelson's relationship with Sanchez.
On the night before April 5, Trevon Nelson's house was shot up in a drive-by, and the prosecution says Nelson believed Rayshawn Jenkins, who dated Sanaa at the time, was the shooter. The prosecution says Sanaa's murder was an act of retaliation.
