Stephen Smith's Body Exhumed, Nancy Grace Reacts

Pieces of the puzzle are coming together...
His car wasn't out of gas.

I've been wondering why investigators didn't put this to bed a long time ago. We've heard nothing about the investigators actually checking the car for any problems. Very easy just to check the fuel guage. Shaking my head here.

Amazing how things that couldn't be located are now just popping up......my, my, my.

Crazy as it seems, I'm beginning to wonder if the "missing" items were buried with Stephen's body.

Wondering if Bland will release the results of the recent autopsy.
MOO...

MOO…
I suspect yes, but not until they are ready to prosecute.

The two people named in 2015 by the step-father, one of whom allegedly confessed to hitting a person while drunk driving, is nonsense.

Stephen wouldn't stay in the middle of the road with a vehicle coming towards him.

It was not a hit and run.

Officers at the scene thought he was shot in the head.

JMHO

Strange that only after Grandpa died and AM was imprisoned that the case was re-opened.

What did they uncover during the murder investigation that made them do this? Just people talking? Tangible evidence?
IMO, these two guys are not involved in this accident and I hope they aren't made the scapegoats

Maybe I missed something earlier, but this is the first I've heard that Stephen might have been killed elsewhere and placed at the scene. I thought that due to the amount of blood on the road it was thought that was killed where he was found, but the Smith's lawyer thinks otherwise.

"Bland — who said he believes Smith was killed at another location before he was placed on the road — also confirmed that Smith had no drugs in his system at the time of his death."

Since there was a pool of blood from the head wound next to the body, Stephen was alive when he was left on the road. Dead people don't bleed, and his lawyer should know that. It's possible that he was mortally wounded at another location, but that would mean that someone has Stephen's blood in his vehicle.

JMO but I think that if they were involved in some way that they were not alone.

EB said SS definitely didn't run out of gas because he left his wallet etc in the vehicle. With that being said, does anyone know if in fact there was gasoline left in SS's gas tank? Has SLED confirmed the car still had gas?

If they have 2 young men as "persons of interest".....why the need for anyone with information about the events leading up to Stephen's death??

They don't. Those names came from the recently released original case files. FITnews published an article reviewing those reports and mildly hinting that SLED could be currently interested in 2 people who were mentioned in original interviews from 2015. Then Fox used that article (and linked to it) to twist it and boldly state that SLED currently IS interested in those 2 people. SLED has made no such statement.

This kind of journalism is irresponsible and dangerous. It endangers those two men. It also can make other people who were thinking of coming forward with any kind of information to hesitate and not do it because they don't want their names to become public and be thrown to the internet jackals. Which is definitely not what SLED and Sandy want or need--this case is likely not going to be solved based solely on physical evidence. It's going to be solved by people finally starting to talk.

Those two men have already reported that they have received harassment (DEATH THREATS!!) because of this. Fox News obviously doesn't care about that. FITSnews, as a local press, SHOULD care.

And yes, I'm angry about this. I'm sure SLED is going back and questioning EVERYONE whose name was brought up in the original investigations, but that doesn't mean that they are "persons of interest."
