In his podcast Cup of Justice, ep #24 published yesterday, at 44 min in, they stated that they would not because it is part of the investigation.

The exhumation of Stephen Smith's body and second autopsy was conducted quietly over the weekend in Tampa, Florida. Forensic experts are working to determine how the 19-year-old died in July 2015.

Dr. Kinsey said there are four or five possibilities about what happened to Stephen Smith on July 8, 2015, including the possibility that he was the victim of a hit-and-run driver.

Also, I thought the press had been honoring a request for no coverage of the exhumation. Am I recalling correctly someone posted Fits had not complied? If this is Fit’s video, I guess L&C decided they didn’t mind showing it either it really should have been a private moment for Sandy.

Per Mandy Matney and & Eric Bland on the Cup of Justice podcast, the video was filmed by Eric Alan on the request of Sandy Smith. Mandy and her husband were there to support Sandy during the exhumation. Sandy said that after Stephen was reinterred, the footage should be released to media (via her attorney Eric Bland) royalty free in order to maintain transparency while still giving her privacy during the event itself.

Why was his vehicle stopped? Was it undrivable?

Seems to me all the sand stuck in the tread of his sneakers would have come off on a 2 mile walk on asphalt.

Just my observation.

If they have 2 young men as "persons of interest".....why the need for anyone with information about the events leading up to Stephen's death??

The more evidence the better in an arrest warrant (probable cause), and the evidence would be used in a trial for a conviction. Hoping that a lot of gaps and questions have been answered, or at least point to what/where to go next to arrest someone.

This entire tip called into LE upon Randy Murdaugh's suggestion is just too reminiscent of the Murdaugh's interferring in the boat accident. Trying to get others to claim that Paul wasn't driving the boat but that someone else was driving. Now, we have a Murdaugh conferring with a stepfather of one of the people of interest. Then the stepfather calls in the tip and puts one of the men as the driver of the truck. I still believe that a Murdaugh was in that truck with them. Why else would a Murdaugh talk to one of the persons of interest' stepfather and a story is concocted and turned into the investigators. And the story amazingly has no mention of a Murdaugh involved. JMO Why would Randy Murdaugh know to talk to this man?
