SC - Susan Smith engaging in phone sex with sugar daddies in anticipation of parole - July 2, 2024

  • #81

Smith has not been able to find a single character witness to testify on her behalf at her upcoming parole hearing on Nov. 20, sources told The Post.
Not surprising: cannot imagine one person that would have anything good to say about her. Hoping she does not get parole. As I said before, it is sickening that she is even eligible for parole. Our justice system is messed up.

Never. She needs LWOP.
You have to ask how the heck a woman who murdered her children in such a horrible, tortuous manner, would ever be eligible for parole? it is an outrage- I can hardly contain myself- it makes me so angry

I wonder if she ever thinks of those two little boys and what they went through…She has to have a heart of stone..Has she ever expressed any remorse? Someone should have restrained her in a car and rolled it into a lake. THAT would have been justice.

From the little I have read about her, the only thing on her mind is men: I believe she has been caught with/or been involved with some male employees of the prison: it was a man who did not want kids that resulted in her brutally murdering her children: seems to me she is man crazy and that's in addition to the phone sex. IMO she has no remorse whatsoever for what she did. She is a vile wench who should never see the light of day. As someone else stated: she should rot.

She still claims that she “loves” those children. Maybe it makes her feel better but that’s some more expression of love.

The lack of remorse. And I still remember how she also blamed a black man for this crime.

I am so disgusted by fake hate crime hoaxes, I believe that there should be legislation to have mandatory minimum sentencing for this type of lie. Lying to law enforcement, and blaming someone of another race for a crime the liar committed, should have some sort of punishment. It is despicable.

The case drew massive media attention, including Susan Smith saying on NBC's "TODAY" show that, “as a mother, it’s only a natural instinct to protect your children from any harm, and the hardest part of this whole ordeal is not knowing if your children are getting what they need to survive and it hurts.”

Just hours after the Nov. 3, 1994, interview, Smith confessed to killing her sons, admitting to police that she had let her car roll into a nearby lake with the boys inside, watching as they drowned.

She’s disgusting and should spend the rest of her life in prison. I’ve seen nothing indicating that she has any remorse for the brutal murder of her children.

As mentioned upthread her number one priority is herself. And manipulating men seems to be her way to fast track her personal comfort.

Rot in prison you killer!

As of noon Monday, 471 people wrote to the state regarding her parole hearing. According to officials, only six of the correspondences received by the S.C. Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services, the Office of Victim Services, were in favor of her release.

Court TV will be there. It is interesting to note that the jury thought life in prison meant life- they were unaware that life meant the possibility of parole after 30 years. On Banfield last night the case was discussed and the prosecutor (Pope) stated that today if a jury sentences a person to life, it means life- no parole.

Smith's parole hearing hasn't started yet. They are doing other cases at the same hearing, and don't know when Smith's case starts.

Just watched David Smith arrive for the Hearing.

He looks very vulnerable today and shaky. Must be absolutely horrible going through this again.

My heart breaks for him.

They just heard a case where a victim's relative supported parole and it was still denied.

Has it really been 30 years ? And she still hasn't learned anything. Im glad that her parole was denied. Susan really should have received the death sentence instead of Life in Prison.
