SC SC - Tammy Kingery, 37, North Augusta, 20 Sept 2014

Susan Jacobson is missing and it's been the same for her. Maybe Tammy's family is still looking though.

Maybe Tammy's husband will want to search again after hunting season when it's "safer" for all the searchers. He's very thoughtful.

I think he is resigned to the fact she is deceased and is just trying to see deal with the kids. Of course he was the last to see her before she disappeared. ...

Yes, the last to see her as she was "peaceful", resting in bed. I'm still bothered by that word.

Random, but the pic accompanying that article said the 5 yr old's name is "Cannon" and the article said Cameron.

I had to go out and figure out what to get the kids. Usually I took care of her, and she took care of every body else. So that was kind of hard - shopping, and not shopping for her."

Why would you NOT shop for your missing wife? and past tense :( How very odd!

As much as I'm big on red-flags in these cases, from my own experience, I can answer that by saying you don't want to jinx the situation, feeling it would be better not to have a gift there waiting, rather than getting one and seeing it there and not seeing her there with you....

New Search Efforts to Begin for Missing Edgefield Woman
6642733_G.jpg

Edgefield County, SC - The search continues for a missing Edgefield County woman who vanished without a trace back in September. Tammy Kingery's husband is hopeful new search efforts will help bring her home. Search parties are about to ramp up again. Park Kingery said South Carolina state investigators are getting plans together to try to find any clues in the disappearance of his 37-year-old wife.

"They said some leads come in, they are what they call running them down, but the impression I get, they are nothing," said Park Kingery.

I wonder what "safety issue" will arise now that will spark her husband to discourage searching ...

I hope Tammy is found soon.

Yep, he reminds me of one of those husbands on Dateline who are eventually arrested for murdering their wife.

His FB makes me really uncomfortable. Seems very active on FB but very little posts about his wife, search efforts, or any kind of update. Almost as if he is trying to "move on" from someone he knows is no longer alive.

This is a grown woman with kids. Why are there no solid leads to where she could be or what her last known status was?

....nothing? another "poof" case..

This case and the lack of interest it has generated really bothers me. I wonder if there has been handwriting analysis on the note she supposedly left. Hopefully LE is actively investigating this.

I have actually never seen someone - especially at his age - so active on facebook. I went to his page just now, and scrolled through a ton of shared memes, quotes, random crime articles and missing people... and then saw I'd only gone back 10 hours.

And some of the stuff he's sharing is kind of... the type of thing that certain people post when they're looking for romance and for that kind of attention. Know what I mean? Just saying that if my SO was missing for several months, even if I suspected suicide, I wouldn't be posting clicheed blinged-out quotes about "what kind of person I'm looking for"...

I checked his FB also but didn't come away with the same conclusions... I didn't feel he was moving away mentally from the situation but is just trying to deal with it.... posted about his wife missing on her bday and he reposted his SIL post about his wife on her birthday....not seeing those "blinged out"quotes..if anything ,too much crime repostings..... trying to compensate maybe?

That's interesting - I guess it's easy to see / interpret things a certain way... I've gotta remember to not let certain "shares" or posts prejudice me too much. Maybe it's one of his only outlets for his feelings. I just found it odd and excessive considering the situation and his age, but I'll be the first to admit to being pretty judgmental sometimes. ;)

There's certainly not a lot of effort to locate her on hubby's part, that's for sure.

I guess one reason you wouldn't look hard is if you thought someone left voluntarily. But another reason could be if you know where they are.
