Spartanburg Co. sheriff pleads with public for answers in 1993 triple homicide
“I certainly believe there are some witnesses in the community and it’s still possible that the killer or killers are walking around right here,” said Sheriff Wright.

For the remaining family members, they have hope they will soon find closure.

“I watched so many of my family members pass away and I watched them on a daily basis wonder and pray that they would find out what happened,” said Dimsdale. “There is somebody out there that knows something, there has to be.”

“If you remember something, say something”, said Sheriff Wright.

The family is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the prosecution of the person responsible for this crime.''

''CLIFTON, S.C. —

New evidence from a triple homicide in Spartanburg County in 1993 is now being analyzed by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

Mary Johnson, 77; her husband, Thomas Johnson, 81; and her son David Johnson, 43, were all found stabbed to death at their home at 270 Cedar St. in Clifton on Jan. 9, 1993.''

I’ve started following this locally and I hope technology with these new tests will produce an answer. I noticed that they didn’t think it was a forced entry and all of the victims had serious health issues. Sadly, this would suggest that this was someone they trusted. Sburg has a mixed history with cold cases but I hope we get something here.

I may be wrong but I feel like LE seems to have some confidence on this case. I’m certainly hoping so and maybe a perp is feeling some pressure. I was wondering if LE is looking carefully into any suicides that may occur around Sburg. I know that’s a strange thought to have.

And unfortunately “poof”, it’s gone from the forefront. I know that it’s just the way we process news in this tech age but I wish this pot would stay stirred so to speak.
