Tony Ray Wood's mother lives next door to the home of her son. She said she spoke to him at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, and everything was normal. She said she saw her son’s vehicle parked at his home when she went to bed at about midnight.
Tony Wood manages a Subway restaurant, and he was supposed to be at work at 6 a.m., but he never showed up, even though his car was no longer parked at his home. Wood’s family members say he never misses work.
His mother went to her son’s house to check on things, and says she found his bed made, and his work clothes laid out and his telephone and a ring he always wears lying nearby.
Tony Wood’s car is a gray 2006 Saturn with the SC license UR-783.
