Vickie's Namus case was updated this week but I don't see any modifications. No ruleouts listed.
I wonder if this is one where an organisation that searches underwater should be looking for her (and her car).

I am Kim's ex-husband, we were married for 30 years. (Note: there is no "e" in her first name, it's Vicki). Her disappearance is totally bizarre and perplexing to this day. It's like she just fell off the planet. We were divorced in 2015 but on civil terms. SLED had a lengthy investigation into her whereabouts. She already had multiple warrants outstanding, and when her house suspiciously burned down she was facing arson and insurance fraud. The authorities assured her family... we'll get her. She can run and hide for a while, but she can't outrun all of these warrants. If she gets pulled over for speeding in Oregon, they'll ship her back.

So no one was immediately alarmed. She's smart, she's got some money, she's on the run. She's probably buying time to get her crap together, talk to an attorney, etc. OK, but weeks turned into months. Months turned into years. She never surfaced or contacted any family or friends. She never made an ATM withdrawal or had any bank activity after June 2015. And she would've needed to, she had no job. The car was never found. Nothing. Our son finally had her declared legally dead a couple years ago.

BTW, Kim was the perfect wife and mother for about 20+ years. She was smart, attractive and had a killer sense of humor. I've always said - Kim Bond didn't just wake up one morning and decide to go crazy. It was something mental and it was gradual. Looking back of course you see the signs. She was paranoid and nervous. Afraid of simple things like getting on an elevator or merging into traffic on the interstate. Not her at all. Her whole personality changed over a few years.

Anyway. That's the Cliff Notes version. If this generates anything new, I'm all for it.

Yes, I've always wondered about this. A car can't easily disappear without a lot of effort, right? Like a chop shop you see in the movies? I've always thought the most logical explanation is she ran off into a ravine or a lake and is undiscovered.

Sorry, but I'm on a roll and spilling my guts about this. Kim went downhill after our divorce. DUI's, CDV's with her boyfriend, distribution of narcotics, resisting arrest, you name it. She was constantly getting arrested. And again, this was not like her. She was a stay-at-home soccer mom. So I have wondered if she got into something over her head. Drugs, gangs, and all that.

Thank you for posting the background. Her official missing person record on Namus has the spelling Vickie, so if it's incorrect you may wish to point that out to investigators. I hope the family and especially your son and any other children you had together, are able to find answers.

I've got nothing else. Something happened to her, and I guess it will always be a mystery.

If she was hanging out with drugs and strange people, she could also have been the victim of a crime. I'm very sorry; you seem to be emotionally attached to her, which isn't surprising after a 30-year relationship. You could also contact Chaos Divers or another sonar water group to see if they're searching waters where she might be with her vehicle if selfharm was the case here.
