Sissi

You lost me a bit there, I did google that but didnt come up with anything on maketoast.

Who is the sender, Robert?

Oops, yep Narlacat I'm combining three areas of interest, JMO.
First, I believe it isn't a coincidence that our perp used the language of Ward Churchill. Churchill was huge in Boulder.

Second I remain curious about Maketoast's association with Access Graphics.
The use of WC, "dunno", just a curiosity?

Third I believe those who were associated with the "barbie guy", aka Prophet, aka "andy savage", should have been given more than the BPD "cursory" ( by their own admission) look.

It's hard to believe in coincidence when the same "coincidences" keep popping up.

Mike M. may know something, RNW I doubt knows anything however I would like to know why he jumped in so quickly using that addy. Ward Churchill knows nothing, however his words may have stirred a response in a sick someone.

Sissi, your inbox is full!

I think that is a very interesting find. I've decided that I live a very sheltered, naive life, here in rural America. A few months ago, I spent a lot of time combing thru info on Lockheed's contracts. I may go back to those, and view them again with *fresh eyes*. Two college students, who sat under that particular professor and heard his viewpoints, make for an interesting theory. Thanks for posting your link.

know what Access's "business" was, or even that Lockheed was the parent company. You'd think there would have been stronger statements in the note if they had a gripe against either one. In fact, the note specifically mentions they "respect the business."

AG had began to expand overseas. London, France and Denmark I think. There may have been others.
Although my bet is this was the deed of someone with a very personal grudge. More than just business.

it was a grudge....and then there's that Entreprenaur article supposedly found marke up like in "Ricochet." There were various people fired from Access, and at least one person that worked in the house that had been fired...others mentioned in Schiller's book like the Hendersons and Merrick that may have had a grudge against JR.

There's also such a thing as thrill crimes--no real motive. A ransom note full of movie lines and themes and sarcasm, almost appears to me to have started out as a joke. How you get to murder after that is beyond me.....but the ransom note indicates this is what was in the perp's mind. Why use copycat movie lines and themes, and add superfluous wording, unless it was fun composing it and the intent was to create a media splash?

There were several similarities in "Ransom" to the Ramseys. One of the more curious ones is the science fair which opened the movie. Mel Gibson's wife was part of the science fair in the movie, and it was from there the son was kidnapped. Patsy Ramsey was one of the organizers of a science fair at the elementary school the kids attended. I think it was Judith Phillips who was quoted by Schiller as saying Patsy really went overboard and made it into a big affair--complete with PHd's that specialized in the various areas as judges. Mel Gibson owned an airline he started from scratch....JR started his business from scratch and flew planes. Mel Gibson was targeted because the detective(kidnapper) knew he had bribed a union official to avoid a strike. The overall tone of the detective throughout the movie was sarcasm.

We don't know if the perp knew any of that or not; however, he/she did state "we respect your business", possibly meaning AG as John's business. The "country it serves" could very well mean Lockheed's part of that business. Perhaps to have come on stronger would have definitely linked him/her to targeting Lockheed or AG, and the perp didn't want to be that definitive.

Just speculation, of course.

The RN author wrote that JR isn't the only 'fat cat.' This tends to subtract from the 'personal grudge' argument, and adds to the 'on a mission to rid the world' argument.

So what is a fat cat anyway?

A person who has great wealth and power; a tycoon.
This term comes from the 1920s, when it was used to describe wealthy contributors to American political parties.

I've been censored in the past for linking to the serial killer area, so I am being very careful here. I do think, we should be able to discuss some of the already publicly named suspects. Looking at the early posts of the "barbie guy" we can see he was definitely into murder.

Many here have seen this, but for the newbies, it may be of interest.

Use of the term fat cat was prevalent in the 60's, and a fashionable phrase to use to indicate your possible political leaning. "cool cat" or "hip cat" are other phrases from this period.

So some people hold that this phrase's importance suggests its a generational phrase, one likely to employed by say Patsy Ramsey as form of rhetoric.

Thanks Nehemiah, I had forgotten about the diner.
Those of us who read his site, WideAwake, remember what a dark mind he had, how much he enjoyed shocking us with his pictures of horrific birth defects, and gore, how his writing flowed with ultra violence , yes , even against Barbie. He had one section titled..Barbie the Ultimate F***. BTW, I understand LE made a hard copy of his site before it was taken down. Maybe it would be interesting for them to review it, and the people connected to it.

Sissi, I'm reading up on the Churchill, Hill, Burroughs connection, and it's very interesting, to say the least. In one article, it talks about the SBTC as being an internet/phone company for Mt. Rushmore, which is also tied in with these guys and AIM. But, do you remember when Lighthouse was posting all that cryptic stuff? He said that he *knew* there was a connection to the perp and a phone company.

I remember some, but it was a blur then as it is now, I couldn't follow it, and maybe that's why we can't find this killer, he may very well be so offbeat we may have a tough time "going there".

SBTC , yes, at Mt. Rushmore...something about a John Ramsey (not ours) killing Indians...AIM involved with a scheme of which the FBI was aware, (don't remember the details or even the gist) ...maybe something to take them to Colorado to cause some harm to Ward Churchill claiming he was counterintelligence in Vietnam..something about factions of AIM.. something too about Churchills Indian name..Keezjunnahbeh, which made some think..hmmm..john ah beh??
If all of the above fits in someway, it wouldn't point toward a sane killer would it? Would it not point toward someone that believed all of this garbage was a "sign" to kill Jonbenet? Someone who was dark and off in their thinking?

A link to Shapiro's Christmas Past...

Good luck with your reading, I think there is something to it, but it makes one weary trying to trudge through looking for the "clue".

"We respect your business but not the country that it serves."

"You are not the only fat cat around so don't think that killing will be difficult."

Just a note: These are two politically charged remarks that have absolutely nothing to do with a kidnapping for ransom.

Just a note: These are two politically charged remarks that have absolutely nothing to do with a kidnapping for ransom.
And those two remarks really make me wonder...why, out of anyone a foreign faction could have picked...why John Ramsey? Why some Boulder businessman when they could have chosen much more affluent people? Why only $118,000, and why that amount at all? Why his daughter and not his son or both? Why not take the child and ransom the body? Why stop and molest her before they even got her out of the house? Why make claims that the drop off of ransom will be exhausting? What would they care if he's well-rested or not? Why say JR will be scanned for electronic devices? Were they planning on meeting him face to face?

All of those points I ponder make me think this wasn't the work of a foreign faction wanting to kidnap a child at all, but someone who thought they could sound like one, yet didn't.
