Following extensive searches and retrieval of his car, police have renewed appeals to trace a 65-year-old who was last seen in his home area in East Renfrewshire five days ago as concern increases.

Sergeant Steven Woodley of Ayr Police Station said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Gordon’s welfare as time passes.

“Extensive search activity has been carried out around the Turnberry area and other police enquiries aimed at tracing him are ongoing. It is out of character for him to be out of contact with his family for so long and we are keeping them informed as our enquiries continue.

“We would urge anyone who believes they may have seen Gordon at any time since the early afternoon of Tuesday, 6 July to get in touch as a matter of urgency.

“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting incident 2460 of 6 July.”

<modsnip - friend's FB not an allowable source>

This is the newspaper memorial page

which I think we had here before.

It seems although no body found, it is generally believed and accepted Mr Proctor died sometime in July 2021 after going missing.
