Council begins legal action to remove ‘African tribe’ from new site in woods

The group were evicted from a previous site on Tuesday.

The group did not wish to speak to media after the eviction on Tuesday, telling the PA news agency that they only talk to those who bring gifts.
In a post on Facebook they said: “Nobody can stop Kubala on 16 September 2025.”
The statement ended: “The Kingdom of Kubala can never be destroyed!”

Police have moved in to remove three people, who call themselves the Kingdom of Kubala, from a site in Jedburgh.

They appear to have gone. King and Handmaiden both taken away in handcuffs and the Queen told to clear up the camp and if she gives anyone any grief she will also be arrested.

The police went in with immigration at 08.00 this morning.
