A missing Scot who hasn't been seen since Saturday has sparked a major police investigation.

Kevin Hughes was reported missing when he didn't turn up for work on Monday.

The 53-year-old was last seen at around 11am on Saturday.

Kevin, who comes from Dumfries, was spotted at the town's Cuckoo Bridge Retail Park that day and hasn't been seen since.

He has access to a Mini Cooper registration number KJ05 00Y which is believed to be white or cream in colour.

Officers looking for Kevin say they are 'concerned for his welfare' as it is 'unusual' for him not to be in touch with loved ones and colleagues.

Kevin is described as white and around five foot, five inches tall.

He has short hair, a long, grey, goatee-style beard and tattoos on both arms.

His accent might be a mixture of Liverpudlian and Scottish.
