There is an interesting thread at http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...em-UP8494-14-17-in-Harpeth-River-Mar-76/page2 . This thread suggests she went missing in May 1976 and was then located by LE in Wyoming with friends. However, whilst the source of the information seems good, the dates do not match.
Did she also go missing earlier in the year only to return after LE located her? Or is one of the dates wrong? Or may there be a mix up between two missing persons?

The calendar states 28 as last day and a Saturday. So it's February. 1976 is possible.

Did she really take that bus? Was there any sighting of her on the bus?
If she took the bus, maybe she fell sleep and, when she woke up, she was confused and got off the bus on a different place.
Was Donna carrying any luggage? Did she have any particular characteristic? It would be great to have a better photograph.

Her dad, mother and younger brother are deceased. May they rest in peace. I can't find any trace her father resided in California, but maybe it's me.

My wall calendar starts on a Sunday, so that 28 would be a Friday ... followed by Saturday 1 March.

I don't think so, the writing in the calendar behind her is on mandarin and I can't picture any american following the chinese calendar.
