The man accused of killing the son of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is out of jail after someone posted a $2 million bond for his release from jail.

Minnehaha County Sheriff Mike Milstead tells KELO-TV that bond was posted for Joseph Patterson around 1:30 p.m. Friday. Patterson awaits jury trial in the death of two-year-old Tyrese Ruffin which is scheduled to begin September 29. He is charged with second degree murder stemming from the child's death in October 2013.

Joseph Patterson's bonds have been revoked, and he will be in custody until he stands trial.

Judge Bradley Zell ordered that two $1 million cash bonds to be returned to Patterson's father, but stipulated that there will be a 30-day delay for prosecutors to file further arguments...

This is the second time Patterson has been accused of violating bond since his arrested in October 2013.

On Tuesday, a South Dakota jury found Joseph Patterson guilty of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter and aggravated battery in the death of Tyrese Ruffin, the son of Adrian Peterson.

He could face life in prison and will be sentenced at a later date.

Life in prison without parole. That's the sentence that was handed down Thursday afternoon to the Sioux Falls man convicted of murdering Adrian Peterson's son back in October of 2013. Joseph Patterson was also sentenced to 25 years in prison for aggravated battery of an infant.
