I mean MY GOD what if it ends up being that Hailey was abducted after all? The whole CP thing if there wasn't anything on there then IDK what to think about Shawn and Billie both being POI. To be honest, I've been suspect of the CP all along. I really hate to say that, but that's how I feel. It's my opinion that it has been used to procure search warrants.

Honestly, I wish Hailey could just be found and this circus be put to a proverbial rest.

It makes no difference to me if it is one image or 109,000 images of child porn, it's disgusting and he deserves to be behind bars. I'm with Quiche on this one, I'll sit back and let the grand jury decide whether to pursue charges against him but irregardless of that, this porn/beastiality issue is only small piece of the grand puzzle that includes Hailey's disappearance and the questionable actions of her mother and her mother's "awesome" boyfriend.

I'm kinda thinking that if LE just wanted to procure search warrants and put an end to the innocent "wonderful" mother and "awesome" boyfriend charade, they could have more easily focused on drugs. At this point, I think the illegal porn is major and valid and I'll let LE continue proving their case. They want to find Hailey, not unjustifiably crucify Shawn and Billie, imo. The deviant porn plays into the disappearance imo. Lots to ponder...

Linda I am right there with ya..and believe me I've wanted Shawn and Billie both strung up for what all's happened..so I would be the first in line to condemn them and blast them to he!! myself for child pornography{as I believe I have basically done in these past weeks with what we were led to believe}..

And let's talk about what we've been led to believe.. namely just as you mentioned LE made direct statements to the media{therefor to us the public}that there was in fact child pornography and beastiality on the memory stick taken from Billie's bedroom..We now read today that is FALSE..

In fact we also read today and find that actually there seems to be a question as to whether or not this child pornography is even "child" pornography..Especially when he gets specific stating that the ONE PHOTO FOUND ON GRANDMA'S COMPUTER IS SIMILAR TO ONE ON MOM"S COMPUTER IN BIG SPRING..AND IT IS NOT EVEN FOR SURE A MINOR THAT IS IN THE ONE PHOTO..AGAIN THE ONE PHOTO SEEMS TO BE THE SAME AS THE PHOTO ON MOM"S COMPUTER>>THAT EQUALS ONE PHOTO>>>ONE PHOTO THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE A MINOR!!!!!

Not hundreds of thousands of pics and VIDEOS WE HAVE BEEN LED TO BELIEVE..not any VIDEOS AT ALL!

It seems to me that most like we are talking 2-maybe to 5 questionable porn pix that the girl looks young...

I am disgusted with this and not in the way that I expected that I would be when the affidavits were released..but in a way that IMO Shawn Adkins as far as CP is concerned has been grossly inaccurate in the press by LE..and they should be concerned IMO about a real quick..slam dunk slander lawsuit..

"On that computer in the slack space area the FBI found images of child pornography." No number of pics given not one, not ten, not 20, not 30? Or anywhere in between. "imgages"

They were deleted peeps but can be retrieved. That is why they are looking for these other flash drives and looking at all other electronic devices. He appears to have been swapping it back and forth and attempting to delete it.

I have been sick and dealing with real life so I haven't been posting much, but I have been trying my best to keep up. I have given BD the benefit of the doubt more than once, and after last week, I figured there was just no way that I could do that anymore.
Now I see these affidavits...
Maybe I am missing something, but this does not show what I thought they would show. I was expecting to see that they found at least 'thousands' of CP images. (and yes I agree that 1 would be 1 too many photos). The affidavits make it sound like they are not sure if the images that they did find were CP or not.
As for the memory stick in BD's house. From what I see, there was no CP on it. And when BD said ( http://bigcountryhomepage.com/fulltext?nxd_id=349616 ) that she was told by an investigator that there wasn't any, no one believed her because LE implied that there was, more than once, in the media. ( http://www.reporternews.com/news/20...und-computer-mother-suspect-case/?partner=RSS ). So now it seems that BD was possible correct when she said there wasn't any on the memory stick.
It does make me question a few other things in the media or what has been said by LE in regards to this case as a whole. After her arrest last week, I really thought she had lost her mind. Now I see that some of the things I thought we 'knew' from LE may not be what it seems.
With all that said though... I think that this gave them a reason to get search warrants for Grandma's house, and it may have been a way to look for Hailey. It does not make me confident that they have anything on SA to connect him to Hailey's disappearance though, since as far as we know, no search warrant was been executed in connection with Hailey's disappearance.

Smooth, I too was surprised by what seemed to be the lack of certainty and low volume of child pornography, based on the wording of the affidavit. It may be that we were misled just days before the 911 trafficking convention when the pornographic deviancy was revealed to the public. But, imo, there's as good a chance that LE simply revealed as little as possible to secure a search warrant (being that this is a high profile case and possibly very near the point of filing charges; keeping it close to the vest). I'm choosing to believe the latter right now, but I share your worry that it may be the former. We shall see (soon, I hope).

P.s. Also think there may be boatloads of porn with teenagers and LE is racing to prove reasonably that none of those depicted could be of legal age to consent. It's time consuming investigative work to track down individuals in an underground industry, but must be done (and discreetly) before charges are filed or reasonable doubt will be pervasive, imo. JMO...

Yes yllek you may indeed be correct..maybe they just are revealing the bare minimum..but wouldn't they atleast be sure that the persons in the photos were infact found for certain to be underage therefor would classify as Child porn??..It just leaves me very very unsettled..

I mean its troubling to see that someone has this much porn..but my hubby being on the railroad there are plenty of guys Shawn's age {and even older} that have loads and loads of porn.. Yea I don't agree with it because IMO porn takes you out of your relationship..but thats just my personal opinion about it which amts to a hill of beans.. but what all the guys/men on the RR have on their phones..ipods..laptops..etc is there preroggative..btwn them and their significant other..but most importantly it is their legal right..

Shawn is only 25 yrs old..and an immature 25 at that IMO.. for him to have majority teen porn as what he likes does not alarm me..I hate to bring up the poor guys at the RR{good thing I've never specified what RR hubby is trainmaster for..lol}but those guys Shawn's age many of them date 18 and 19 yr old girls..so naturally if they're "into" looking at porn they're gonna be looking at those alot like what they're attracted to in real life..Again if it were my partner yes I'd have issue w/tremendous amts of any type of porn{I don't care if the women were 40+}and thats just me personally..but in looking at it from a legal standpoint..none of this guy's are doing anything wrong..

There's one more thing I feel I should "put out there"..and its only from spending years around guys/men working for the RR and in bringing up much of the "type" porn alot of these guys "like".. There's the entire cell phone multi media message sending that is rampantly "popular" for not only teens but up thru 20-something year olds as well..Especially the guys "passing around" something their buddy or their cousin sent to them that is just so OUTRAGEOUS THAT YOU CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE WHAT YOU'RE SEEING..And I am in no way speaking about anything to do with children..that there is just never ever an excuse for and as much as I have been exposed to by some of the even craziest of those guys/men that I speak of..NEVER EVER HAVE I SEEN NOR EVEN HEARD ANYONE SPEAK ABOUT..OR HAVE ANYTHING THAT COULD EVEN NEAR CONSIDERED AS POSSIBLE CHILD PORN..NEVER..Rather what I am speaking about are the OUTRAGEOUS CLIPS THAT SEND AROUND TO EACH OTHER..AND UNFORTUNATELY YES SOME HAVE INCLUDED BARN LIKE ANIMALS..YES EXTREMELY SICK..BUT THEY ARE NOT SENT AROUND TO EACH OTHER AS SEXUALLY STIMULATING IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER! I only say all of these things out of making a very clear point..With it now coming to light that it certainly "looks as tho" this is not any trading ir selling of child porn and I personally really have my doubts if even child porn even exists..or if its simply teens.. but with that now atleast a "possibility"..I wanted to explain how there could be deleted media labeled as beastiality that might have been found as well{as we've been lead to believe}..and if it turns out to only be 1 or 2 that falls under the beastiality catagory..well I just felt I needed to "put out" there that there could be a reason there were a couple found..that were not for nefarious or sexually deviant reasons..but rather young guys being stupid and passing around something outrageous purely for its shock value and nothing more..

I hope I explained it well enough that one can understand my meaning..I cannot be the only person here who knows that this type crap does exist and gets passed around for the reasons I explained..shock value..not illegal..nefarious..and certainly not out of sexual deviance..

I think the cameras may be two of the "devices" that have been plugged into it... transferring files over.

I don't understand what "slack space" means on the computer, and if some photos of kids or young teens were found it could have been pics that he got some young girl to send him. It doesn't necessarily have to be a child porn download site does it?

There ya go gram.. From page 3.. It says there were adult images..and "appears to him that the image of child pornography found on this computer" ..That says one image that appears to be child porn and its that image {singular} that seems to be similar to an image on his mom's computer..

Thats what I am referring to..

I am not alone in my disappointment and feeling of being mislead..as we too find that there is no child porn on the memory stick..
Those are my concerns

The child porn was in the paragraph above and then the officer continued on to explain what else has been found is the way I read it. Two different paragraphs outlining everything that was found.

This sounds like they found numerous images of child porn on Walkers computer in Big Spring.

They are comparing one image found in Dunn thay may be the same image moved via memory stick or card from the Big Spring residence.

I could be wrong, just sounds like they had alot of images of child porn found in Big Springs.

You were talking about the young guys on the RR that share clips/images of unbelievable things...
My first thought when I read in the affidavit that an image was found to be downloaded from SA's email and it matched one on his mothers account... was that it was one of those 'omg you gotta see this type email's' and someone sent it to him from his mom's house. I also thought it was very possible that it could be a random junk email. I have 3 email accounts that I use fairly regularily... I never ever ever ever click on emails that I don't know who they are from and I get tons of them... but not everyone is that smart lol

I understand what you're saying Smooth - you make good points! The bestiality repulses me, but it's not typcially illegal, so I've put that aside as far as the criminal activity goes. I have more faith right now in LE than I do in Shawn Adkins being just another idiot 25 year old with a legal but overwhelming taste for porn. If he wasn't going around fantasizing about slaughtering people (usually young teen girls) as they do in horror flicks and cutting up deer with a chainsaw, and he hadn't threatened to kill members of Billie's family, and he wasn't into filming vile acts and posting them on-line... maybe the wording of the affidavit would make me more doubtful that his porn interests were illegal (rather than simply obsessive and vile).

Since, however, all of the above disturbing and incriminating behaviors are true about Shawn, I lean towards the affidavit being intentionally understated and Shawn's porn collection (and possible business) being illegal. LE isn't going to state the volume of illegal images, imo, until it's fully verified. They're getting close to charges, imo, and they don't want anything thrown out due to technicalities...JMO.
