According to search warrant affidavits acquired Friday by KTXS through the Freedom of Information Act, a warrant used by law enforcement in Scurry County on Thursday was specifically intended to look for more child on computers, discs and other digital devices Adkins has been using.

Shortly after hearing this latest HUGE break in the goings on of Hailey's investigation, I quickly came to the conlusion that atleast in part, LE motives were to prove that Shawn's "hobby" was infact an addiction, full fledged obsession by them reanalyzing already analyzed electronic devices that had proven to be positive for the deviant , emphasis on CP/BS type of deviant ..In retesting devices that have been shown to have the CP they IMO are clearly showing that tho Shawn knows full well this very intense and closely monitored investigation is pretty much full force, zeroed in on him..he still cannot control his desires,and extreme strong need for engaging in, viewing/downloading, exchanging, etc in the child for a period of time that he without a doubt know he is being extremely closely monitored..

This IMO speak volumes in proportions I've personally not seen.. A deep-seeded addiction and obsession..and it will be a 100% slam dunk case in convicting Shawn Adkins of child that IMO will definitely make headlines.

And now after having more time to read most articles, and see all the info that we have at this time, I have definitely concluded that this is indeed, as I said, atleast part of what they are attempting to prove...IMO they are steadily, methodically, and IMO thoroughly building an EXTREMELY DAMNING case against Shawn Adkins for the child charge... Will this lead us to Hailey? I am still not quite sure, but I can tell you one thing I am certain of and that is that this child involvement has EVERYTHING TO DO WITH WHY HAILEY IS NOT AT HOME SAFE AND SOUND IN CCITY AS WE SPEAK..jmo, tho!

This is what is at the very root of why and what happened to Hailey in/or around December 27, 2010.. That I have zero doubt about..jmo, tho!

The new stuff has not been characterized as CP (yet), just "" which isn't to say that won't change as LE conducts their investigation. If anything, by continuing to download more mainstream ONLY he could be hoping to cast doubt on how the illegal stuff got on his computer (you know, by accident). There's been no indication that these are new images, just newly collected by LE. They may have been deleted from devices that were simply not checked before.

Yes it has several different time frames to choose from in the self-timer mode for taking photos.. And I also wanted to mention{not sure if already brought up} that the Kodak Easy Share is also fully capable of video{full video capabilities of 20+ mins at a time..all dependent on the size GB of the memory of the cam and/or card}.. Also can be started with a self-timer, as well as some are equipped with a remote to completely control the videoing and/or photographing taking place..Ours even has a tripod for the camera to easily adapt to{and before any one even thinks ours is for home grown }..lol..actually the entire reason for the remote as well as the tripod is for the purpose of our family Christmas photo for our Christmas cards every year..lol..I got really tired of the method I used for years of setting the camera on top of table, stacked w/books, boxes, etc to get it to the height necessary for the group shot..as well as setting the self-timer and then attempting to haul my azz quickly into position and still have a convincing, UN-cheezy smile in the photo!!!..After years of frustration I got us the remote and tripod and oh how very much more pleasant and easily obtained our fam photo for Christmas cards have been the last 2 years..lol

wish I'd invested in those items ages ago..lol..

Above BBM.. My entire post was referencing ONLY THE RE-ANALYZING OF ALREADY ANALYZED DEVICES..not referring to any device newly analyzed..and it is JMO that exactly as I stated in my post LE's motive is to attempt to show a pattern, that would clearly exhibit addiction/obsession..that is my opinion.

Certainly looks to me like this just isn't an obsession because of the enormous amount of child but must have made money by this as well. IMO

This is probably way off topic and will be deleted, but I just can't help feeling like I should share this. I'm not proposing a huge discussion about a TV program, but on 20/20 last night there was some pretty creepy stuff that seemed relevant, including an interview with John Carpenter, the creator of the Halloween movies concerning the effect violent/horror fantasies are/aren't fueled by violent/horror movies. Also a guy who liked making short films who is on trial in Canada for committing a murder ...while wearing a mask... in the style of a short film he had shot just days before.
It is on HULU and may be elsewhere online as well.

Another warrant was issued, out of Howard County, but the judge in that case refused to release the search warrant affidavits to the media although FOI requests were made. That warrant is believed to have been for the "body" of Adkins, meaning it was most likely served to obtain DNA evidence.

The biggest question everyone is asking around the internet is why he isn't arrested already for cp and if they could continue gathering evidence after.

I do understand about the grand jury and that process still has to be done but could they add more charges later is a good question.

I am willing to bet that once he is arrested he is going to start talking and will try and make that plea deal. The sooner they get his butt in jail the sooner we may find Hailey. IMO

I was wondering the same Pondering Mind. He obviously likes dehumanizing images. If there's homegrown (which I strongly suspect), maybe filming without the faces or cropping them out later to be less incriminating?

I also wonder if masks were worn in the filming of the deviant images. Shawn loves those masks and they would also serve to hide identity. Remember, Billie said that she knew about the mask only because she was aware Shawn traded them, she had seen them on-line and it "wasn't good" (on Nancy Grace 1/17/2011). Then, she admitted that LE had confiscated "a mask" from her home (BTHN 3/3/2011 interview), but also mentioned a collection (plural). Then, Shawn mentioned that he personally owned masks, but only for "display purposes", moments later contradicting himself by stating that Hailey wasn't afraid of his masks because she wore them while they sat around watching horror, um comedy, movies together (BTHN 3/4/2011 interview).

Why so many inconsistencies about the masks? I think they play into the deviant images. Also think it's possible Hailey's DNA was found inside a mask(s) and it wasn't because she willing wore it to sit around the house with Shawn... JMO... :curses:

yllek - I could never piece this one together until I just read your post. I found it so strange that he mentioned that HD would wear his masks while they watched horror movies (BTH interview). What a totally off-the-wall thing to admit to without being provoked. It really bothered me. And now, I think you're onto something. BD mentioned that they (LE) took the masks (I don't know why but I have the impression that there were 3). If they did, surely they will track HD's DNA in one or more of them. THAT's why SA is trying to make light of it all! Sure - The family would sit around wearing masks while watching movies! Now that makes a whole lotta' sense!

It sounds like both could be correct. Both are descriptions of the same warrant but no one (other than LE) knows exactly what they were looking for. Could be DNA, could be physical features, could be a memory stick. We don't know. Yet.

Per the Affidavit, the fact that Shawn does NOT own a computer and has been using his family and friends' computers to download illegal CP, has me wondering about a few things.

WHY doesn't Shawn OWN a computer -- his OWN computer ??

When we first learned about the CP, etc., on the computer at his mother's house, it was stated that that computer belonged to his mother. Just a couple of days ago, we found out that LE is searching the computer and other electronic devices at his grandmother's house.

Does SA really think he can "pin" this illegal activity on the computers on someone else ? Does he really think he could "get away" with this ? Did he not realize ALL computer activities can be traced and never go away ?

Remember on Monday Dec 27 when SA went to work, got a soft drink, then "quit" his job ... then he was over at his mother and grandmother's houses ... And where was he on Tues Dec 28 ?

SA had to be downloading the CP to other electronic stoage devices, deleting images that he thought were gone forever, but stored in the "slack space" on a computer -- because he knew what happened to Hailey !

He failed a poly in regards to Hailey's disappearance and has been named a "poi". Did he NOT think that LE would catch up with him with this computer activity at his family's homes ?

We know that Shawn likes to hide behind his masks ... and now we know he was trying to "hide" his criminal computer activities on other's computers !

He's nailed !

I just hope they find Hailey soon !

I agree with you. I don't think he's very bright. In the BTH interview, he made a point of saying that he had gone home to his mother's house to "research" unemployment benefits. I guess he clicked on a couple of related links while he was attempting to erase his files...

LE had a search warrant for Shawn's body, it was assumed they needed to ID something on his actual body.
It has been stated that LE were looking for something that he always had with him, they didn't find it.
Since they didn't find it we can pretty much figure out it wasn't a body part that needed to be seen.

Unless it indeed was a body piercing as has been previously discussed as a possibility..but yet when they searched him Thursday evening he did not have the piercing in..IDK..possible maybe but just came to me as I was reading thru these last posts..

I have tried my best to read all of the posts, and I might have missed it, but does anyone think it's possible the warrant would be for his cell phone? I'm just thinking that even if they had a warrant for property (his grandma's), if the cell phone wasn't physically there, then it wouldn't be covered under the warrant, would it? It does appear that they were looking for anything and everything electronic that had any connection to him.

***I have an 18 year old daughter.... and I would describe her blackberry as being 'surgically attached' lol
